At last Rediff thought of bringing the Greatest Indian Actor to the readers.. and that too, by a great cine-writer like Raju Bharatan ! Dilip Kumar was and is the greatest actor Hindi cinema ever produced. Today, in a visual-media-crazed world, the cine-going millions make Shaheshas and Badshahs of actors.. what a pity, they have missed out completely on the unequalled variety, and unparalleled uniqueness of India's enduring Dilip Kumar ! Whether it was a resoundingly cheeky Aan, where Dilip's chase of the woman he loves has never been yet replicated in Indian cinema, or it was Tarana that had a Dilip loving, crying and smiling with his eyes, or of course a naughty Azaad,or Kohinoor, or Gunga Jamuna or Madhumati, Dilip Kumar is the quintessential Shahenshah of all Shahenshahs, the Badshah of all Badshahs...! The day he is no more, the entity called Hindi cinema would have lost its biggest supply of oxygen...for it is on that oxygen that today's Badshah and Shahenshah have come up ..!
