that again would be the actress' wish ... free will and free speech are something you cannot take away from anyone ... if the govt defines something as "public obscenity", i will comply with that ... otherwise, just F* off .... no one can tell me what not to do ....

Another form of Fanatism
by PRAVIR CHAKRAVORTY on Jan 29, 2008 06:02 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It seems some people have nothing to do except worry about what will happen to others' moral character. This is very akin to the Talibans of Afghanistan and the Islamic fanatics of Iran (and some in our country also) who think Islam will perish if a Muslim girl wears revealing clothes or expresses her views which is contrary to their liking. Does our Hon'ble members have nothing to do except worrying about imposing dress codes for film actresses?
I am sure there are more serious and immediate problems facing the state/country. If somebody still gets so corrupt by watching them, it would be better if they switch off their TV sets. In this age of computers, where even children have access to internet, and where FM radio channels openly discuss sex, romance and dating with participation even from school children, such restriction and censorship is ridiculous.

PMK Needs to be in the headlines
by arun kumar vignesh on Jan 29, 2008 06:02 PM  Permalink

There are so many things PMK should get involved to bring the Tamilnadu as fore front among the Indian States. Rather than concentrating on them, they always want to be in the news headlines. They no nothing then attacking Cinema Stars, cutting Tress and Burning Buses. First let them so maintain public decency. They are almost now grooming Tamilnadu as Terrorist camps.
