what is tradition? tradition varies from place to place, from city to village. which version will you fix?... and a civilised country is one where everyone has the right to live their life their way, as long as they are not harming anyone else.... no country can progress if it doesn't give its citizens that right... see iran, afghanistan, saudi arabia for example.... and in contrast see how dubai and turkey have progressed because they are not opposed to modernity..... progress comes from free thinking... not when minds are shackled with tradition

All individuals have certain reponsibility to society. We are not asking them to cover up completely but they should know what a decent dress means... In cinema, it is ok but showing off in shops etc is too much. Even in western countries, they dress well when compared to these heroines.

Who are intrested in women if she expose (sexual Appeal)? No doubt we males. I am right?. As long as Women is sex worker(who earn money/attention with body), we dont need to find fault in anyone, either she is shreya or namitha. Guys, lets enjoy the figure before they get realized themself. Stupids, who asked them to have good dress code. Let them be full nude, we dont have any problem. I want other women/girl to be full sexy, but not my wife or sister. So its there choice how they want to be.

Take a break, guys, dont bring Gandhi making it a serious issue and stop my fun.
These type of reports/cases are unnecessary and it cause tax payers money a lot. HMK is out of it's way to file a complaint. There are lot of other things to worry. I am guessing the same folks might have enjoyed her movie/scenes with similar type of dress. Not sure where polticians want to take the country in 21st century.
hi the govt in india and specailly tamilnadu has got very little work to do they are primary school teachers and we are kindergarden students so they are teaching us what we should wear, which movie we should see , what food we eat, i think these MLA be sent to primary schools as PT teachers
I really do not understand the sincerity of our politicians, who spent legistlation time to discuss about Shriya, One thing we failed to understand that she is a public girl, who want to market her assets, wherever there is media then only she can run her business. Its purely a marketing activity, which she has all the right to do that. We can call its obsurd, if she has breached any dressing code, we donot have any dress code for public felicitations, she did it what she knows best.
Guys pls dont waste your time in telling someone what to wear and what not to. You enjoy if she undressed on screen and claim foul if she does it on public. crazy world.
It is very clear, his demands where not met and he decided talk in the assembly and make it a peoples issue(since all politicians represent cmmon man)until he gets a green signal on what he wants.
Yes it spoils both womans and mans minds...By accepting such half naked actress on stage, we are spoiling the young minds. These actressess wear these dresses like going for SHITTTING and not to present descently before audience....culture less money brongling brothels...........

Half-naked? you mean like the "half-naked fakir"? (that is what Winston Churchill called the Mahatma in case you did not know) If Churchill should not have commented on the Mahatma such, maybe you do not have the right to insult a woman thus either.

i strongly object.Aishwarya Rai, Sushmita Sen, Priyanka, Lara all posed in bikinis to announce India's arrival. Why, even Mahatma Gandhi was a semi-nudist protagonist

The reason why you get away calling Mahatma 'semi-nudist' is because Mahatma has propagated ideals of tolerance.

f* you guys ... as said, this is democracy ... not some f*ed up totalitarian regime ... if the actresses were to think like i am (forgetting the money), if ever there is a govt ban, they boycott cinema in that corresponding state ... f* all politicians who think they can implement whatever f* they want. the cinemas aren't broadcast for you to complain ... if you feel the censor board is not enforcing what you want, don't watch movie buddy ... can you f*ing do that????????
