I think we should be less ashamed of how the west will look @ us after they see the slums in India and be more ashamed of the fact that slums do exists in India even after 60 years of independance.

Slums are there in every part of the world. The west hides there slums from the rest.

There ought to be a reason y ppl prefer staying in slums in Mumbai rather than locate to south india to live "royally". You gotta understand that these cities provide better opportunities to earn bread n butter but the cost of living is very high here which is y they are reduced to live in slums.
