Are they crazy?
by Vishal on Jan 08, 2008 08:23 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Omkara flopped at the box office and the producers lost significant money so how can they dream of making a prequel? Omkara was so violent and had so much foul language. It deserved to flop. Kareena acting was completely horrible.

omkara was one of the finest cinematic venture. Vishal is surely one of the finest director, beyond our run-the-mill directors.

It just takes a little mature mind and exposure to absorb a movie like this.

This is how people like you in India think about movies. You guys always wanted same type of love crap movies, hero and heroine going around trees and lots of tears and same old story in a different bottle.

Omkara is one of the finest movie in Indian Cinema, Ajay Devgan is one of the best talented, and serious actor, gave wonderfull performance. Vishal's attempt as a Director is just brilliant and the movie worked well at box office. Till now I never heard anyone who doesn't like Omkara and doesn't like Ajay's acting these days. So try to learn how to anlayze cinema...cheers...

Omkara was one of the best directed movies! I agree the it had lot of slangs and swears, but then thats how people speak in villages...you cant have lucknowi style 'pehle aap' in such movies...
Kudos to Vishal Bhardwaj for making such a film...

Bhardwaj walking on interesting grounds
by Amit Sharma on Jan 08, 2008 04:16 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

A prequel to Omkara can be quiet interesting as it will be fun to know how Devgan and gang got together and what was there past. The making of Omkara the character and Langada Tyagi can be really gripping if handled properly. I just hope that the prequel will not have an anti climax like Omkara. Although the climax was quiet in sink with the original tale but it turned out to be too dark to be accepted by the ticket buyin crowd.

All the best Mr. Bhardway

Nothing could be newer than this. It would be totally imaginative where nothing would be borrowed from any book of Shakespeare.

Another opportunity for Ajay Devgan & Saif Ali Khan to get under skin of the character.

All the best whole Omkara Team...
