Loss for all tamils
by muthu arounassalame on Feb 28, 2008 03:14 PM  Permalink

Great loss to tamil litrature.

His excellent novels like ganesh and vasanth, En eniya eyandira, thoondil kathigal were unique.

His answers to scientific questions in a simple manner made even a common person to understand and appreciate science and technology.

Nothing can compensate his loss.

We must honor 'Sujatha'
by Bharani dharan on Feb 28, 2008 03:08 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Everyone thinks of changing the name 'Robot'-Rajni's new film by Shankar, because its not a tamil name and may create unnecessary political issues....
Suddenly this idea came to my mind that they can rename it as 'SUJATHA'.....Later shankar can think how to justify the name with the storyline.....
Because sujatha was the backbone of shankar in his all films...even for mani ratnam in earlier days.....
It will be the right honor for a great writer....
Let us raise our voice for this in the media....

Sivaji is the name of a great legend sivaji ganesan, so no one think its a tamil name or not...the same way Sujatha may be a sanskrit name....sure both are not English or Hindi names..there wont be problem in Tamilnadu...Remember "Mumbai Express" and "Sachin" were released on the same day...All opposites are against mumbai express.. no one thought about sachin that time...since its a lovely name...

Sivaji is the name of the great Maratha leader, Shivaji Bhonsle. Since V.C.Ganeshan (tamil actor)acted a role portraying Sivaji, he was called "Sivaji" Ganeshan.

That name was suited by great leader E.Vr. Periyar, because not only ganesan did the role of 'Sivaji', but also no one else can do well in that role...

Great Life
by shanmugam kumarasamy on Feb 28, 2008 03:04 PM  Permalink

Sujatha's writings are simple and down to earth.

His Question Answer format Yen? Etherku? Eppadi? which was published in Junior Vikatan was a trend setter in popularising Science using mass media.

His dialogs in Maniratnam's movie "ROJA" is highly noteworthy.

He was successful in both writing various mass media and literary world. He simplified and introduced the ancient Tamil writings like Tirukural and Puranaru to our generation.

At the same time he also wrote about Thalamai Cheyalagam (Studies on Human Brain) and Nano Technology in Tamil.

His crime thrillers casting Ganesh , Vasanth are exemplary. His writings in the last pages of Kanaiyazhi was of thought provoking. He was one the producers(Media dreams) which produced the great movie "Bharathi" by Gnanarajeswarn.

A multifaceted personality who is very fond of
Alwars and their contribution to Tamil literature.

May His Soul rest in peace.
