Sujatha was a genius but never showed it off..His writings were way ahead of his times....He never had a niche audience and his biggest strength was his versatility...His "Katradum Petradum" column in Vikatan discussed a lot of things - scientific, fictional, political, films and list is endless and enriched any reader's knowledge...his spectrum was vast and its a real pity that all the tributes will flow now..when he is not alive...he would not have liked that anyways when alive...such a modesty personified person was he....We will miss you Mr. Rangarajan...We badly will....
I am proud to be his fan, right from the days of "Nylon Kayiru" his first story published in Kumudam. I recall the days when I waited for Kanaiyazhi issues where he used to write the last page "Kadaisi Pakkam" under the name Srirangam S.R. It was the golden age of tamil literary scene, when he received encouragement from Kumudam`s SAP, Dinamani Kadir`s Savi and Anada Vikatan`s Balasubramanian to name a few. Rather the magazines were after him to publish anything written by him. He was a writer par excellence and belonged to the modern age. His foray into tamil bhakti literature with articles on vaishnava sidhantams was superb. Sujata was liked by one and all - from kids to oldies. Hailing from the same Trichy district, I feel very very proud of him.
He is not from IIT but Madras Inst. Tech, chrompet.
As usual rediff made mistakes.
Regrading his child abuse case : he has very cheaply depicted 12-13 years girls in one of his novel. May be he should have researched whether he had many child abuse fantasies.

You are a bloody pervert! We know Sujatha sir well and he is a great man! Keep your perverted rubbish to yourself! You and your father will only indulge in such perverted fantasies
Sujatha... ! a brilliant , great writer !! Infact his style of writing is one of the reasons which pulled youngsters towards literature. More over his dialouge writing style is amazing - short, cryspy and techi.Infact I came to know a lot by reading his novels, Q&As..science, entertainment, sports, Astrology,! He is a KING !! No one can replace him ,its unrecoverable loss !!May his sole rest in peace, my deepest consolence to all who loves him and his writings..!!
A great loss.I grew up reading his novels like "nylon kayiru".I understand from his nephew sadagopan, who was my CA contemporary, that his uncle sujatha had a great sense of humour and we saw that in abundant measure in may of his novels especially"aadanillal kaadal seiveir" in kumudam.
May his soul rest in peace. my condolences to hios family members. I personally feel the loss very much
