His contribution to Tamil literature world will last forever. His sceintific fictions and contributions to Tamil language are simply great. Apart from story writing, he used to write screenplay for Tamil cinemas. Because of his efforts, many Tamil DTP Software programmes came to limelight. Further to literature world, his contributions towards Electronic Voting Machines were excellent. While he started his writing career, he had written in his original name "Ra Ki Rangarajan". There was another senior writer in the same name. So he used his wife name and started writing in the name Sujatha Rangarajan. But in kumudam, it was published as Sujatha .

Ra Ki Rangarajan is different from Sujatha. He is a great writer in his own way and by god's grace he is still around, though we have lost the other Rangarajan better known as Sujatha.

His original name was S.Rengarajan and not RA.KI.Rengarajan; RA.KI.RA is another great tamil writer and is still alive and kicking. He will live long.

I am non tamilian. if Sujatha is so great why to label him Brahmin ? He was for the whole of Tamilnadu. Why you want to dwarf his achievements?

It's mere stupidity stamping religious or communal identity to such a great personality, and it's a great humiliation to him and his so far contributions to the Tamil world.
I request you all don't encourage these types of identities.
One man respected, admired and loved by everybody who were lucky enough to read his stories, articles,Dramas or essays! May his great sole rest in peace!
Sujatha is a house hold name in Tamilnadu. His science fiction stories had good reach among the readers. He hails from the river Island of Srirangam near Trichy famous for its Raja Gopuram, Lord Renganatha temple and also the demised soul
He is a multifaced personality with lot of skills. He has knowlegde about everything in the world. We can't get other person replacement for him. It is a huge loss for all Tamils around the world
Mr. Rangarajan did not write the screenplay for Dasavatharam. And he went to MIT for his bachelors in engineering, not to IIT. Please correct these errors in the article.
"Sujatha" was probably the most popular and prolific writer for the past three decades in Tamil. His sharp wit allied with an amazing knowledge of various subjects made him an iconic story teller. He was equally successfull in writing plays, short stories, social novels, science fiction, historicals, comedies and detective stories - not to forget hundreds of reviews and essays. Its going to be impossible to fill his shoes.
