idiot, learn to praise the great or atleast shut your mouth. dont write your idiotic words in this forum. Sujatha was a great writer. and none can match him.
The first short story I read in Tamil was written by Sujata. At that time, I was under the impression the author was a woman and I marveled at the intricate details in the narration and also the free-flowing, modernistic and futuristic style in using the language and thought this lady if she were an English author would have been among the top writers of the world. It was the style initially that had me glued to the story and subsequently it were the stories themselves with their intricate plots and classy characterization and climax. It was only much later I came to know Sujata was a male. I am yet to come across any writer in Tamil who made the language so easy to understand. A world class author by any standards, Sujata set benchmarks in Tamil fiction scene. It certainly is a major loss to Indian literary circle but then all good things will come to an end. The consolation is that the great writer and innovator has left a rich legacy and did not suffer for too long. May his soul rest in peace. Heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
My and co-readers' condolences to his bereaved family members. To my rememberance, he is the first man predicting about Nano-technology booming--which is going on now -- some 5 years back.Good scientist-cum writer as per his earlier novels, we lost!
The great scientist, novelist, famous sujatha in his last years started to write about the songs of the great alwars of this tamilnadu. Even though the songs of alwars are very simple, still he wrote notings for their songs even in a very simple tamil where people can understand the songs very well.
In the famous kalki weekly magazine his writing on alwars is very famous. we read first his writings only.
He has been writing for more than 40 years. He has thousands of fans of 3rd or even 4th generation.Next to Kalki Krishnamurthy,he is the most popular/sought after writer in Tamilnadu. He used to write poetry,prose,drama,story/dialog for some hit movies.Whenever u open a book and u find a story/article by him,any reader will have curiosity/interest to immediately read it.Literary world is orphanned by his loss.No other writer is anywhere near him. Sarvajit

I agree with you. He is very near Kalki and just behind him in modern Tamil literary greatness. You can't pause/stop in between once you start reading any of his articles - may it be a short story, novel or just science questions and answers. He compromised some of his quality for Movies but true Sujatha lovers will remember him more for his writings than his contributions to film industry. Great loss to all of us
He is very talented,Energetic, even at his age of 75,his stories will be able to attract Youths, every class in society. He is the first one to introduce Science Fictions in Tamil, his loss is huge to Indian Cinema,Stories, etc. If he is there he would have taken the Society into a new Dimension of Computers,Robot, etc.
Though Shri.Sujatha left this mortal world yet he lives through his writings. Shri. Sujatha is the writer who introduced science fiction to tamil literature when others hesitate to venture in that fieled. I am a great admiresr of his writings. May his soul rest in peace. Om shanthi: shanthi: shanthihi.
