VERY GREAT LOSS
by G NEELAKANTAN on Feb 28, 2008 05:11 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Sujata has been inspirational to many other younger writers. Being an engineer myself I have been reading and enjoying his writings of all formats, stories, serial novels, essays, etc. with admiration and envy. He made compueters and their use understandable by "common person". Development of EVM explaining its efficacy in Parliament is a great achievement, the use of which is not extensive even in developed nations. We can all pray to Lord Ranganatha of Srirangam from where he originated to give him all the peace and a place in heaven.

Sujatha's demise leaves a void in the tamil literary world. I had enjoyed his "katrathum petrathum in Anandha vikatan more than his short stories and novels. My heartfelt condolences to his family and his fans.

MAY HIS SOUL REST IN PEACE
by goplakrishnan lokanathan on Feb 28, 2008 05:02 PM  Permalink

i had the opportunity to meet him once during 1998 or so, when he was still a prolific writer. the first thing that struck me was his utmost simplicity - quite unassuming and was talking to me so freely as if we were friends for years!! and his vast knowledge on so many things during an interaction session - with full of humourous punches.
i pray to the Almighty for this departed soul.
