An intellect who used his ideas in all his works is lost today! He will be in the hearts of all his fans, readers and friends. May the Lord grant him Peace. Our hearfelt condolence to his family and friends.
Even when western countries are still using the old style paper ballot, we were the first to use the EVMs. He made Indians proud. His knowledge and ability was truly great. He could write about literature, law, science , love , religion , current politics - to be successful for more than 45 years is truly a great acheivement. A great Indian has passed away. One request : Can people stop using this condolonce post for abuses. I think it is highly against Indian culture to use condolonce forum for spreading venom and hatred.
A very humane person full of humour, love, knowledge, and intelligence that he was, it is heart-wrenching to know that he is no more.
Recalling the times we spent together in Bangalore though they were short discussing books, life, poetry, God, and people make it only all the more sad that such a noble person is gone.
May his soul rest in peace and a tearful farewell to him!

Banerji da, News of Sujatha's passing away came up at 15:30 and within minutes there were over 100 condolence messages. Shows his popularity. It is very unfortunate that such a brilliant writer is unknown outside the Tamil world. The kind of writing he gave the tamil literary world is something phenomenal and the effect his writings and dialogues had on the Tamils is to be seen to be beleived. Sure the whle Tamil moviedom will pay their true respects. (Imagine if someone aske Gulzar -Who?).

so what... if u havent heard of him... he is a famous tamil writer... above all he is a great engineer that too from IIT-Madras
I still remember, more than 20 years back there used to be Sujatha fann club in all the engineering and other colleges among students. There used to be interesting discussions on his writings. Like K Balachander to cinema, it was Sujatha who brought in a whiff of new air in to Tamil writings. His vivid description of a Brahmin widow disenchanted with her second son in the USA and loss of her first son in Srirangam fianlly surrendering to the long time amour brought tears to many. He could be pithy and incisive with pen for movies. The dialogues for Anniyan when the hero appears in front of a huge ground were fabulous. A great loss - Sujatha sir, please be born again and revel us all with your writings.
His loss is nations loss.He is a good Story Writter.I still remember his drama "Eyanthra Manidhan"-Robot Man in TV when i was a child. His stories are wonderfull.I hope his soul rest in peace.
A great science fiction writer, i love him a lot because he took the complex science theories to common man in his writings. As to my knowledge, The now so popular computer technologies was taken to common man in his book "silicon sillu puratchi" almost a decade back. I great genius, we will surely miss him

Just introspect yourself how you born? Plasma and blood stinck etc. What is in you stomach? Humans are better than other living things because we have mind to think, language to communicate, So, think properly. Don't feel yourself great on cast basis. If you are thrown in desert ot Siberean desert then you will know your real value. And your cast value.
