I personally feel that we must take it as a movie and not make it into a political issue. The BEST Part of the Movie is the Casteless Love and the Ambition to move beyond Castes. We must all appreciate the movie for that.
The great INDIAN Politicians must take this movie as an example and show people that we can be ONE not separated by Castes.
I think the POLITICIANS or LEADERS who are banning the movies must be not feeling proud about anything. They must be ashamed for making breaking the unity of the Country. Also they must be ashamed of themselves as they are trying to cover their own personal downfalls by leading people into unnecessary issues.
If they are so good they must shall their achievements to the public. Let the public decide.

Where is casteless love in an emperor marrying a minor chieftain's daughter? For all you know the girl and her family could have been easily forced into marrying the emperor by vitue of their power. And perhaps that is what is hurting the Rajput pride. So according to me that in absence of historical support to the facts depicted the picture should be disallowed to be screened and the producer and the director should apologise to the Rajput community for hurting their sentiments in order to showcase their talent? Let them make a similar film showing a daughter of a muslim ruler marrying to a Hindu prince and let them face the subsequent reactions of the muslims. Let this be a lesson to all those people who want to propagate their so called talents at the costof the sentiments of Hindus.

You're concerns emanate from 'having the upper hand' rather than talking about or appreciating 'casteless love' !
Sentiments ? Spinning out an argument where none exist. eh ?
Isn't it a fact that Porus made a pact with alexander - that alexander returned his kingdom and released him - but porus then joined in his wars and helped attack other indian provinces?
One thing is very clear. Our Hindi movie directors(very few exceptions)do not know to direct historic movies.Otherwise these fellows would not have made Akbar,Shahjahan,Chandragupt,Ashok etc.to dance and sing with the girls, making a mockery of the history and the audience.
