Worst Film in recent times
by anshu on Feb 02, 2008 12:20 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I don't know why people waste money on making such movies. I request the producers of this pathetic movie to send us money so that we can enjoy. Ruchi is really to the point in narrating this movie story. Infact I feel she has been quite liberal in doing so. If I would have been the critic for this movie, I would nto have even bothered to write a review for this childish and stupid movie, even if it would have been the only release this week. I just can;t understand why people can't shut up and save their money instead of wasting it like this. Most idiotic performance by people like anupam and rati. Limits of people doing desparate things to get money by working in such pathetic movies.

Dear Ruchi,
Have you seen this movie or just you write review for the sake of your job. I have seen this movie yesterday late night and happy for the outcome. Rajpal is great actor in Bollywood. From this movie, i came to know how he handles emotional scenes which is not his cup of tea. This movie is for pure Rajpal Yadav lovers... Excellent dialogues and believe, the who cinema has laughed through out the movie. Rediff is always support Karan Johar, Shah Rukh, Salman khan movies and fails on thought provoking movies. RAMA RAMA is a great show, paisa vasool entertainer and WORTH A DEKHO... RAJPAL YADAV ZINDABAD

This Friday's supposedly funny film, Rama Rama Kya Hai Drama, gives us a shameful version of marital dilemmas with zilch support from the story department. All we get is some bad marital advice from Rajpal Yadav.

Bank cashier Santosh (Yadav) is an unhappy newlywed, who thinks that his wife Shanti (Neha Dhupia [Images]) isn't the woman he hoped to marry. The bickering starts very soon. At work, his boss (Aashish Chaudhary [Images]) sails in the same boat, with his overbearing and possessive wife (Amrita Arora [Images]).

After this is estalished, the film takes a long time to move ahead. The story is caught in a loop between Yadav's ranting on the streets and imagining Shanti in every other woman.

The film tries to capture unrealistic expectations and a lack of maturity between young couples. But it is far, far away from being even remotely funny. Yadav tries very hard to be the frustrated guy, and overdoes it.

The film, in fact, has nothing to offer. It just seems to be waiting for another song or another one of Yadav's crazy outbursts until the couples predictably patch up.

Director Chandrakant Singh's trump card seems to be Rajpal Yadav, and his comedy. But we'd much rather prefer the actor in his sidekick roles.

The film is so bad, you almost feel sorry for Neha Dhupia being trapped in this corny effort.

Aashish Choudhary and Amrita Arora give mediocre performances.

Anupam Kher [Images] deserves a special mention. He has been hand

It's a pity that a fine actor like Anupam Kher has to do roles like these.

Author-backed roles for Rajpal..
by Himanshu Manroa on Feb 01, 2008 09:12 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Eggjactly Vinay!! Rajpal is a fantastic actor...but just like Pankaj kapoor, he needs to be extremely selective with his choice of roles. These silly B-comedies may give him everything - top billing, more mooolah...but in the long-term it will end up destroying his 'core' market! Its better to do good, peripheral roles in bigger and better set-ups than doing inconsequential embarassing stuff like Ladies tailor and Rama Rama. Thin Pankaj Kapoor - definitely not your convential 'star'- and then have a look at his 5 movies in the last 5 years - Maqbool, Dus, Dharm, Blue Umbrella, Halla Bol - Wow! Whatta resume! Movies where he has easily over-shadowed the protagonists and seasoned performers like Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgan, Irfan Khan!! Commercial, art - the man has left his impressions across the board! Hence inspite of Dharm amd Halla Bol bombing at the box office - Pankaj kapoor continues to grow in stature - Here's a true blue actor. Give him good roles and he will turn them around to great characters! And bad roles - well, he just won't accept!
