Rediffusion should stop glorifying parochial people like Raj Thackeray and stop making them heroes from NOBODIES.
Mr. Raj Thackeray's only qualification is being Nephew of Bal Thackeray. This is an accident of Birth and rediffusion should not make people famous only because of this accident.
Hindi should not be made a regional language. The people from UP has already ensured that it does not become a national language by claiming first right on it. These people can recall Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and Rabindra Nath Tagore were strong supporters of Hindi, which was considered a common thread among Indians. Original UP languages are Braja Bhasa, Awadhi etc. Hindi was meant to be a link language encompassing a broad spectrum of Indian languages. Some Hindi Scholars damaged the case of Hindi becoming national language by claiming Braja, Awadhi, Maithil, Bhojpuri as old hindi and present Hindi as New Hindi. He could have clubbed the other indian languages too as old instead of just languages from UP and Bihar as such.
jaya Bacchan is worng ,instead of saying that she hails from UP so she is speaking in hindi, she should say that we are Indians so we will speak in Hindi.

then shame on you..every indian,it may be marthi,punjabi,gujrati,malyali,kannada,goan or any should be proud of hindi language...its our national language and we should give respect to it..there no proud feeling should come about not to speak Hindi language..

but who is he to tell people to speak in marathi,why a non marathi person will speak in marathi,,those marathis staying outside maharashtra are speaking the language of the state they are living..no one can compell anybody to speak a perticular language,,raj thakray is trying to be hitler..

DEFINITELY HINDI IS NATIONAL LANGUAGE AND IT SHOULD BE GIVEN FIRST PRORITY . RAJ THAKARE WILL BE LIMITED TO MAHARASTRA AND ALL SUCH PEOPLE LIKE HIM ARE BREAKING NATION FOR THERE POLITICAL SURVIVAL. I THINK WE HAVE TO NOW ASK MARATHI S WO ARE LIVING IN OTHER STATE TO STOP RAJ THAKARE

Iam against jaya's comment,but what raj is doing is heinous crime,,iam born and brought up in maharashtra,,but beating innocent people,breaking shops and so on,was never the culture of real maharashtra..
