Bhagat Singh was actually an atheist by belief. He was not Sikh. He only kept the paagdi and beard in respect for his parents. That was part of his lack of apprehension to shave and cut his hair as a disguise.
How can you forget Sunny's portrayal of Major Kuldeep Singh Chandpuri, and Punit Issar's Subedar Ratan Singh? You have even included the little kiddo from KKHH and you are not including the characters drawn from real life heroes? I would rate these characters more than the Akshay's and Boman's.
Sunny Deol was superb in Border, Awesome in Gadar & funniest in Jo Bole So Nihaal, Akshay also Rocks in Singh is Kinng, So as other actors such as Ajay Devgan, Anupam Kher, Late Amrish Puri, Ompuri have portrayed characters of Sardar, which were beautifully acted by them...So Singh is Kinng...The Name itself Rocks

I agree about Anupam in Bend it like Beckham. It portrayed the hardship that have to be faced by the Sikhs in foreign lands because of their faith.
