by arshad mirza on Apr 08, 2008 03:25 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

This is my India..where people are still fighting over water. I pray to God to give some brain, intellect, tolerance, civic sense to us so that we can be Indian in true sense not just on papers...Amen

Tamilnadu CM is hell bent to start hogenakal project. Karnataka is shown in the media as a villain. We are not opposed to any drinking water project per say. We are only opposing the project coming up at a disputed site which actually falls under Karnataka. As there is no popular government in Karnataka and also the Kaveri tribunal Judgement issue is still at supreme court, none of the involved states can start any development activity across Kaveri river.

Tamilnadu government has used the same reason to stall our attempts to start drinking water project to malemahadeshwara hills. Seems like all the rules and laws in the tribunal judgement are only applicable to karnataka and not to Tamilnadu. Is this because they have a higher say in the central government with their 40MPs supporting the UPA, while Karnataka has no voice at all !!

Time has come my dear friends !! Time has come to wake up and take a look at what our neighbouring states are upto. Maharashtra Deputy CM calls us cruel people and goes a step further to compare us with Pakistani Soldiers, One Laloo comes to our own land and calls us Dirty people. Now, the Karunanidhi claims that Karnataka is making the people of Tamilnadu suffer with our objection to a drinking water project.

Question is not drinking or otherwise. Question is

when the matter is pending before supreme court, how can one start a project unilaterally and even claim, come what may, they will get this done.
when the Tribunal judgement

He asked drinking water and project for Tamils and also said whoever creating problems should be kicked(Vodikano). Particularly he insisted the politicians and anti social elements who are creating problems. But he never said anything of common people of Kannada.

Rajani is not fair
by aoneall on Apr 08, 2008 03:21 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Karnataka people should ignore what Rajani has said. He earns his livelihood from Tamil films. To say nice things about Tamilnadu is his professional compulsion. It does not mean that he believes in what he said.
