Amitabh being targetted by Nav nirman sena
by Kedar Choudhury on Apr 08, 2008 05:32 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Amitabh should not be targetted like that. he is one figure who among some figures have added to Mumbai's reputation. How come some people for their political motive blame such a national figure. If Samna is questioning that what Bachhan has done for Maharastra, then they should ask the same question to themselves, that what samna has done for maharastra. I think Amitabh bachhan has scaled a height for Mumbai and for our country, where Mr. Raj Thakrey can never reach even he takes birth 7 times. He and his followers should not forget that. They should be prepared to face the same henious act they have started in Maharastra, to face elsewhere in the country.

If Amitabh the icon of Hindi migrants in Mumbai is not regionalist and anti-national, then so is Raj Thackeray not regionalist and anti-national!

Causes behind Panipat
by Tanmay on Apr 08, 2008 05:30 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Raj are playing marathi cards. he should learn lesson from history. Migrants should not come to Maharashtra/Mumbai if this logic was applied in 500 years before Chhatrapati Shivajis ancestors would have not come to Maharashtra. Shivaji ( a migrant form Rajasthan %u2013 Refer book Shivchhatrapati by Baba Saheb purandare) trained them in warfare and was able to win suntans and mughals. After his death maratha following his war tactics started winning/rulling almost entire India. But they could not make people/warrior of other parts of India( in which Shivaji was master) to be on their side. The effect was seen in Panipat war, in which they could not convince other community to fight form their side.

UP/Bihar are becoming the proverbial millstones for India and are slowing India's progress.I won't say that Maharashtra is superb what with a deteriorating power crisis and farmer suicides. But here on this very message board, you get a naked demonstration of UP/Bihari northern India mentality who suffer from a misplaced superiority complex. Please refer msg posted by some Mr Mittal.Other Indians including Marathis would certainly loathe such abhorrent thinking where UP/Biharis believe that they own the country and have the right to rule the country just bcoz their mother tongue Hindi has been accorded the status of national language. Can u answer why outside of Maharashtra in Assam and Manipur, where Raj and Bal Thackeray are complete unknons, were UP/Bihari migrants attacked. The media is portraying that being anti-UP/Bihari and opposing their hegemonistic tendencies is being anti-Indian.This is contrary to reality and a wrong percepition is being set as a precedent

heramb gude,
Two wrongs do not make a right. If North Eastern states also suffer from inferiority complex and are afraid of North Indians like you, it does not mean you are right.

You are very correct here Mr. Heramb Gude.

Keep up the good work and let all Marathis who come on this site wake up to the reality of the arrogant attitude of the UP/Biharis

Q8. Do you feel insecure in Mumbai these days? Are you a worried man?

ANS8. No. The State has provided me with security, which they feel is adequate. I have faith in the Maharashtra and Mumbai Police.

Q7.Do you find it scary that netas in India keep getting away with it despite spewing communal venom, which is unlawful and unconstitutional?

ANS7.I have zero political acumen. This could best be answered by one that has.

Q6.Correct me if I am wrong, but your continued involvement with UP has perhaps more to do with your friendship with Amar Singh ratherthan deep emotions attached with that state. And either the Maharashtra politicians don't understand this or simply don't want to understand this.

ANS6.You are wrong. And I shall correct you. Where was Amar Singhji when I fought the election from Allahabad. What does anyone, you included, know of my connections with UP, prior to my association with Amar Singhji. It is as though my association with any issue is a problem with the so called 'discerning' . Repeatedly, the Amar Singhji factor is brought to the forefront, whenever the media or other exalted bodies have been unable to find credible reason on the matter under question. Its an assessment that I have lived through year after year. When it was Bofors, the tale was - "Its your proximity to the Gandhi's that is your problem ". Conveniently, it swiftly changes to "my non proximity to the Gandhi's that is my problem", in more recent times. I suspect the same would happen if Amar Singhji were to find himself in the seat of power in the future, or some equally exciting permutation. How interesting to see what their refrain would be then. So I am attacked because of "my proximity to Bala Saheb", I and my Miss World is attacked because of "my proximity to SP". And on and on and on. Your argument Anil, as you can see is not as simplistic as it sounds.

it is right that people who are of political matured minds should sit across and solve the problem of outside invasion bcs nearly all the unoccupied and not educated people move into mumbai and make things even worse , but we should not make a mokery by taking names like sir amitji , bcs it is only these people who have made india and mumbai proud in the whole world , and what would be mumbai without amitji, kishoreda, ambanis, tatas, birlas etc.. they are not people like dawood who become big in mumbai and then take revenge on us.can you imagine a hindifilm world without amitji, rajesh khanna, dilip saab, kishoreda, sanjeev kumar etc.. they have made mumbai what it is today and not politicians

i think you my dear are very much frustrated in life , bcs a person who is just acting has never sworn in parliament that he is going to improve roads, build homes for the poor .so what is the point in just pointing finger towards one person, and regarding respect i dont think i should learn how to respect my mom from a person so frustrated like you

Q5. Will the attacks on your loyalty to Maharashtra compel you to alienate yourself from doing things for your home state, UP? And will you now try harder to do more visible social work in Maharashtra? Say, opening a school for girls out here?

ANS5.Accusations and insinuations are not going to make me change the course of my conscience. I shall do what I want to do and what I feel needs to be done ; whether it is in Maharashtra, or UP or Bihar or Punjab or Bengal or TamilNadu or any part of the Country. The people of this country have loved and given unbounded affection to my family and me. I am equal in the eyes of the entire nation and no one should stipulate what I must do or not. My sense of fairness and fortitude is not up for scrutiny.
