dont forget real issues
by atul kale on Apr 08, 2008 06:35 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

REAL ISSUES FACED BY EVERY MUMBAIKAR (MARATHI AS WELL AS NON MARATHI)

1.THERE ARE VERY LESS OPEN SPACES LEFT IN MUMBAI.

2.DO YOU KNOW EVERYDAY IN MUMBAI LOCAL TRAIN, BUS IT TAKES ALMOST 2 HOURS SOMETIMES 4 HOURS DAILY TO GO TO OFFICE PLACE AND COME BACK.THIS IS ALL BECAUSE OF RISING PRESSURE ON INFRASTRUCURE. IT IS ALREADY A DEAD CITY. HOW IT IS GOING TO TAKE ADDITIONAL PRESSURE.

3.ARE PEOPLE ALREADY LEAVING IN MUMBAI ARE NOT CITIZEN OF INDIA. ARE THEY ANIMALS. DONT THEY HAVE RIGHT TO LIVE PEACEFUL AND LESS STRESSFUL LIFE.

4. INCREASE IN HEART DISEASE, OBESITY, POLLUTION

5. NEXT GENERATION OF MUMBAI ARE PLAYING CRICKET FOOTBAL ETC ON COMPUTER AS THEY DONT HAVE OPEN SPACE AS WELL AS TIME.

WAKE UP. UNDERSTAND THE GROUND REALITY. THOUGH IT IS EVERYBODYS FUNDAMENTAL RIGHT TO LIVE ANYWHERE IN INDIA, IT IS NOT THE RIGHT OF PEACEFUL AND LESS STRESSFUL LIFE WHO ARE ALSO CITIZEN OF INDIA WHO ARE ALREADY LIVING IN MUMBAI

No nedd to drag her name here. Raj may be uncivilized but why show disrespect to a woman, who has done no harm to any body.

Hanging may be too much. If Raj Thakare, who is used to live a life of luxury, is made to live a true jail life even for few days, he will never utter a single word of hatred towards anybody.

Raj Thackeray,
by prasanjeet Das on Apr 08, 2008 06:01 PM  Permalink

This issue is not about amitabh or north indian. This is more to do with a frustrated individual who craves for power and uses numerious such issues to create divide between people on the basis of religion, color, region, caste. This is nothing new and will keep happening till the end of this world. One thing is sure that people are aware about this and cheap political gimmicks.

Amitabh -- the great actor!
by Anand on Apr 08, 2008 05:37 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Amitabh is really a great actor and no one is even near to be comparable to his personality. He seems to be very composed and well cultured. Having said that, he also need to respect wherever he stays.

Media has misinterpreted many points wrongly. Looking at all these news I guess people in Maharashtra just want to respect their culture then why shouldnt we? Now just as a step one, I will start learning few sentences in Marathi. I know some history of Maharshtra and it is really mind blowing!

Having said that, we are all Indians and any one has a right to stay whereever they want in any part of the country.

Just one take away from this post, remember my brothers and sisters, historically we have been easily got divided by other forces. LET US PLEASE DONT REPEAT THE HISTORY.

THATs IT! From An Indian.

AB's original interview
by gk on Apr 08, 2008 05:34 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Q1. I guess you are feeling these days much like a section of the Muslim community is often made to feel in this nation: Keep providing proof that you care for Mumbai and Maharashtra.

AB'S ANS1. Firstly, the premise of your query is something that I do not contribute to or believe in. I am also therefore, not qualified to address it in the manner you put it. So can we just remain with my part as an individual and not attempt to grind two stones in one stroke.
Secondly, I have said it before and shall say it again, that I shall conduct myself, a proud citizen of this country, according to, the Law of the land and its Courts, the Constitution and my conscience. Courts, Constitution and Conscience, my three C's !! Nothing and no one shall find a place, even remotely, into these honourable portals.
Every individual in a free society has the freedom of expression and speech. And I honour and respect that.
But those that question me and my deeds or non deeds, need to know a simple fact.
I am a public figure, not a public official. I am not a democratically elected representative of the people, neither do I hold any Government public office. I am answerable ONLY to the three C's and nothing else. People have the right to question me, as they do and must. But they do not have the right to demand proof for any activity of mine, particularly when they themselves are not eligible for such a misguided, heedless and a totally inappropriate, task

Will AMitabh allow me or for that anybody to stay in his house, which is in India and the constitution guarantees that any citizen of this country can stay in any part of India. He should realise it is always easier said than done.

i think my dear you are so freustrated in your life that you dont understand filmstars have not taken any oath in parliament that they would do this that etc.. hence if any one lives his life in his way till he is not taking money from you or doing any harm why are you acting stupid , this is the mentality of cheap people who dont like others being happy and comfortable , we also have problems that doesnt mean we can harm anyone by doing or saying anything bad , jo apka naseeb mein hai wo apka hai , and regarding my respect for my mom i dont think i should learn how to do from a sick person like youuuuuu
