Anish, Sorry I missed the point. Why exactly does Mr. B "need" to do anything for Maharashtra ? Coz of being an Indian citizen and chosing to live wherever suited him within the country just like millions of others do?

What has Sunil Gavaskar or Sachin Tendulkar done for Maharastra? Why is Amitabh expected to something for the state. It is absurd that these self styled idiotic politicians whip up gullible innocent public's passion. Stop those idiots from using public platform to get cheap publicity.

Why should he answere a pointless question? How many of the people of the various states of India live in Delhi. What have they done for Delhi? By their mere presence in Mumbai Film Stars that came from the South North East and West of India create jobs for lakhs of Maharashtrians.

He has already cleared it. He said he's not answerable to anybody except the Courts, Constitution and his conscience. You and I are nobody to question him on this. What has any politician done for the state? Mah. was the most progressive state in the '70s. Today no new company wants to invest in Mah. Have you questioned your politicians on this? Please ask them first. Farmers are committing suicides not because of Bachchan but because of politicians and money-lenders. All cities have a terrible traffic and road problem. That's also because of politicians. Same goes for the horrible power, drinking water and mafia situations. Please question the politicians who have been capitalizing on your and my frustrations to further their cause. Do you have the guts to ask such a straight question to any politician? You don't. Because you know they are basically dons who will crush your bones... so best is to flog Bachchan!
The reason Amitabh is being targetted is his FRIENDSHIP and closeness with unsavoury Politicians like AmarSingh,Mulayam Singh,Abu Azmi, etc. While it is unfortunate that he is being targetted Amitabh cann't take the High Moral Ground as he became an NRI,Farmer, etc.to avoid Tax. The Bachan Family's involvement in BOFORS Payoffs is still not forgotten.
Folks, Amitabh is probably one of the few industrialists who decided to repay the complete loan when ABCL failed (he could have easily let the matter go to tribunal and not pay a penny). While it is true that he has played NRI to 'evade' taxes and that he tried registering as farmer to buy some land but it is also true that he has earned his millions due to his own hardwork (and luck playing its due) and commitment. At the end, if he is using loopholes in the system to save some dough, I dont think it should be too much of an issue. Raj Thakeray did not have issue or person to target and unfortunately chose someone who is not necessarily answerable to people at large. If there are loopholes that he feels people are exploiting, he should let his organization raise in correct public forums and close them.

he paid taxes there, be it income tax, road tax or the muncipal tax etc. what else do you want, if MNS is really worried and about the well-being of the people, let it fight on the cause of the poverty or create jobs with co-operative societies which it can establish.
AMITABH NEED NOT CARE ABOUT A FAILED POLITICIAN'S WORDS.
If somebody dclares himself as an NRI..he can..If he wants to build a school in another state he is entilted to..Does that mean he is traitor..NO..Being an NRI does not mean a traitor..And, living in one's own country does not mean a patriotic..In India every person who makes money and has fame becomes a whipping Horse..I've never found this man to faulter in conduct or otherwise..It is fame and success that has beceome his problem. He is a victim of his own success. Big B we love you.We love you when you keep quiet..we love you when you speak up. YOu have to keep fighting agains this rouges..Who talk of regionalism : in this world where Globalisation is inevitable..And interdependence a reality. Let us take a scenarion.. where all the Indains of the wold were asked to come abck and live in India.. Does India have the resources to sustain them >>the answer is No.. Therefore Migration is inevitable nationally and internationally.. But, narrow-minded ill-read politicians of our country do not understand this. Thanks, Aruna vij( An academician)
Both the Thackeary are same, they only know how to divide & rule in the country. They have no objective besides it.They are only goondas & can never be a sophisticated Indian ( forget about maharashtrians ).Why don't they themself donate anything in favour of maharashtra.

all their eyes are on mumbai only , let vidharbha farmers die.. they wont do anything for them, in mumbai they can see lot of money ,offcourse bcoz of so called outsiders, thats why they r barking
Who knows Raj Thackrey outside maharashtra. He hasnt contested any election till now and he calls himself a politcian. He has proved the proverb correct that empty vessels make more noise. Its quite ironical that Mr Raj Tackrey who couldn%u2019t be loyal to his family members is talking of loyalty towards the motherland. Again and again he has proved his cowardness by getting indulge into such useless issues for getting political mileage. Its high time he should realise that we are living in 2008 and most of the public knows his motive behind this face of his.
Its high time Mr Raj Thackrey should concentrate on the serious issues around us than such useless issues.
Khudos to Mr Bachchan for his down to earth attitude. May be Mr Raj Thackrey should learn something from Mr Bachchan

Certain things in life are best left unsaid. The less people talk about Raj Thackeray, the faster he will fade away from public memory. Big B knows to mind his own business. Hope others learn to do the same.
