i think it is too little too late to comment about the VOTING of Indian Idol - as a winner has been choosen.
both of them were good but Prashant had a hard core fan following - so give the MAN a break. Amit is great too as I am sure he will bag some playback singing after all the JUDGES will reccomend him - its not the end of the world for Amit BUT stop bitching about the VOTING as if you had cared about it then the outcome would have been different.
So be HAPPY with the JANTA's voting and give PRASHANT a chance to prove himself - all the best !!!
First of all - Congratulations to Prashant for winning Indian Idol. However, there is a big question? Does Prashant really deserves what he got? Not that I am trying to point out flaws, not that Prashant is a bad singer. He definitely is a very good singer but there were other participants who were better than him. They were unjustifiably voted out of the competetion via SMS Voting. Now let's talk about sms voting - and that would relate to how Prashant got so many votes. I had been to Siliguri recently and during my short stay there, I was stopped by Prashant fanatics atleast more than 10 times. These guys were collecting money from every one so that they can pay for the sms. It was not only me who faced the brunt. Everyone I knew had paid atleast 100 bucks for the cause (???). Businessmen and Shopkeepers were the ones who faced the worst. They had to shell out huge chunk of money for the same. Not even the poor rickshaw pullers, bus drivers etc were spared. What would you call this - a civilized world would term this EXTORTION. I am not blaming Prashant, because he doesnt even know about all this. But this is reality. Check out local newspapers and you would more reports on this.

when someone says this singer is better than another, his view maynot be accepted by all. in a creative field like singing different people have different taste and choice. therefore to expect that your choice would be accepted by all is foolish and illogical.
