yeah...one cannot translate the regional pronunciation of any country into English...we write our names trying to match with the English phonetics....
Please do not publish such useless articles when our country is already heavily divided based on caste, religion, language etc., This information is of no use to anybody.
Try to draw other parallels from which people get inspired, and not convey how great a community like CSB is (which they may be, do not get me wrong).

U goon. Spell kannadiga properly. Kannadika means spectacles. This article is not trying to differentiate between a kannadiga or a maharashtrian. This is only bringing out the similarities between Guru Dutt and Deepika. Because Deepika is just about to get into bollywood. Try not taking this onto a different tangent altogether.

Also, let's not forget the ones who behind the scene. For example, one of editor-duo of Waman-Guru was a Chitrapur Saraswat too (Guru Dutt Shirali).
Incidentally, Chitrapur is a small town/village near Shirali on the Karnatka Coast north of Coondapoor.
Also from the same community from Karnataka are some famous personalities below. 1) Nandan Nilakeni 2) Girish Karnad 3) Anant Nag 4) Shankar Nag 5) Sir Benegal Rama Rao (First RBI Governor)
