I dont know why SRK fans always bring Amitabh Bachchan into this debate. I still fail to see a comparison.
Amitabh Bachchan is an icon who has entertained millions of indians from zanjeer to Cheenikum. Thats nearly 4 decades.
He is the ONLY bollywood star that has thousands of people outside his house on his birthdays. I mean, which other actor has this appeal??? Even at 65 he had thousands of people wishing him on his birthday outside his house..
Question is how many people would be outside SRKs house when he is 65???
forget 65 how many people come outside his house even now???
AB is the only TRUE ICON. Peole like SRK will come and go.

RAJ kamat you r orthodox there is no way AMITABH BE compared with SRK as what happened to SRK when he tried to imitate him in DON it flopped badly na........so SRK is better in his own style.

This is probably the best comment I read in this huge list. Rizwaz, what you said is more than 100% correct. We should start comparing Shahrukh with Amitabh if and only if he goes upto that level and as you said, what would be his popularity when he is 65. Its really insane that we do this comparison and its showing dis-respect to Amitabh when we do this. Did we ever compare Amitabh with Raj Kapoor or Dilip Kumar?
Amitabh is a living legend and is the finest actor of Indian cinema ever and his class is international. Everybody who has acted/worked with him has only good things to say about him.He is the undisputed emperor of this Bollywood. The only one actor who can probably live upto his expectations after 20-30 years is Aamir Khan, lets wait and watch if he can

Perfectly said, everything that Shahrukh does looks so artifical, his interviews, his acting, Before every movie release he says the same thing. Sanjay Leela Bhansali was the one who gave him the much needed break in 2002 and today he is releasing a movie against that director on the same big day. Since he does not have the guts to talk abt Sanjay directly, he talks thru his friends, Farah Khan etc.He just pays the media and makes them write always good abt his movies. No wonder Aamir rejected Filmfare awards long back when Sarfarosh did not get the much deserved award. Even filmfare awards are lobbied by these Shahrukh, Karan Johar and Yash Raj camp. And now when the classic Ekalavya is selected for Oscars, they have big things to say..what had happened when a shit movie like Paheli was selected to Oscar, nobody made news then since everybody are bought by Sharakuh camp. Come on guys, grow up, we have much better actors than Shahrukh in India who deserve.

i dont entirely agree with what you have said but i can definitely say one thing... i dont think Eklavya is a classic movie... it just about saves itself from being called a bad film... with all the 4 star rating it got.. which it dint deserve... am not a typical masala movie lover but to say its trash... it was too overhyped but it was a dud... its slow and pathatic... but performance are commendable.. but that does not make a movie either classic or good or hit..
i like sharukh of dil se or atleast paheli......this new look really suckjs....
by the by some stupid shann said he had a wax statue at madame tussauds......you shd remember that salman rejected that offer.....these days everyone had a statue at madame tussauds.......and it is not that ur statue will be there if u r gr8....any a55hole will get it.....like aishwarya rai's.
he looks real skinny in the song n u'll see how skinny he looks when it shows on the big screen. he does look a lot like M Jackson, both r equally skinny - SRK needs to give up his hunger strike to gain back lost popularity n start eating. all in all - he looks real ugly in the song and he looks like a dead man walking these days.

Sharukh Khan, with his muscles, looks like a coolie at Mumbai VT Station... He does not have the structure or the persona to carry off the muscles.. doesnt suit him.. he looks far better donning his simple and sporty look. His face is gaunt as well. they should have really done a remake of "coolie" than "don" with the Khan.
