We Indian males have a different liking from our Western counterparts. In India, females with a little bit of flesh are considered more sexy than the skinny ones. From the point of view of the Indian male, Rani Mukherjee is has a nice and sexy figure.

Whatever, that is your opinion. In an industry full of ex-beauty queens and models Rani is like a breath of fresh air. Her wrinkles as you call them only endear her to her fans. Unlike other ageing actresses Rani has not resorted to botox -yet. If you look at Preity Zinta these days her expressions look more than a little frozen - to much botox. This article is inspired by more than a little bit of spite and follows on the heels of another one where they were suggesting Rani's career was flagging and she needed a "hit pronto". If people like Rani don't co-operate with the media this type of journalism is what is to be expected. Why no showcasing of LCMD only BB. No matter today's darlings of the media will eventually become targets just like Rani. All because she won't spill the beans on her private life.

You like a person not based on looks alone, but based on talent, personality, good heart and so on. Good looks are merely a bonus. If you are super talented and charismatic you automatically win hearts. So anybody who says Rani sucks cn take a break. She never succeeded because she was gorgeous. She succeeded because she was the girl next door with plenty of talent.

SO what's your point Aruna - you yourself say "not based on looks alone" which means looks is a superset and other qualities are just subsets. So an actor got to look good else I would have been a bollywood star. People do not pay money to watch ugly stars - they want to see someone better looking than there spouses or neighbors for starters.

I agree with Max about Smita Patil. But again I would say that Madhuri Dixit also very much talented. And there are many such as - Nutan Jee, Sharmila Tagore, Jaya Bachchan, Sabana Aazmi,Karishma Kapoor, Kajol & Rani Mukherjee.

Hey Maxxx, Hollywood knows Seema Biswas better than Rani Mukherjee. If she also gets a hollywood inspired makeover Seema could compete with Rani in every way! Beauty is always in the eyes of the beholder! If Rani appears beautiful then so can anybody! And if you have oodles of talent and the right script also comes along, there's gonna be nothing that will stop you.

Rani is the behenji next door and almost 'aunty-next door' ...I thought Hindi films survived on glamour. Otherwise we would be watching more real girls in Malyalam or Bengali movies!
