i think salman has done a great job by turning down the offer of Madame tussade,, coz Islam prohibits the making of statues in any form. so ithink he has done a great job.

I dont think faith has anything to do with it. It is purely personal reason. However if he would have agreed, it would have been a proud moment for the entire country. As he would have become only the fourth actor to have done so.
Aish wax work looks so ugly. The tussaud's people cannot replicate Indian faces. Nor any artists that sit on streets of NY. I saw this first hand when one of my friends was getting his face drawn.
How about a statue of Osama ? Whats wrong with that? I am sure he will be very popular. I think he has more fan following than either SRK or Big B or BigB's-BigB (Big Bahu). Perspectives may differ, but facts dont change.

You are correct, going to Madame Tussauds wax works at 35 UK pounds is a load of rubbish. there is nothing there to see. the planetariums has been removed and all that is left in the auditorium is old seats. the wax work standard has fallen completely down, the statues are not worth the wax they are made off. Once you visit Madame Tussauds you will never go to baker street again mark my words.

I have seen all the statues in person at the museum...Wax statues of some of the Hollywood stars are worth having a look at...only some, I mean... But as you said, those of ash, ab and srk look nasty...
