harebrained cliche-parade ??? S Ramesh ?? Yet there is a strain of unexplored jingoism through the film -- imagine a cricket film with Monty Panesar getting dirty looks at the local Gurudwara -- and his actions are given some bizarre psycho-babble roots in his father's past. Honestly, years of familial strife could have been avoided had Daddy told Sunny about his past, instead of waiting for well-timed happenstance. ??
What is all this ridiculous stuff Why is he bringing S.Ramesh and Monty panesar in his review. By Mistake may be was watching a sports channel and wrote the review.I am sure about it..

I'm sorry I thought this was supposed to be a sports film.....or as near sports as an indian film can get given that there is no sporting tradition in this country.....by this standard the review is spot on
Questions to Mr. Raja Sen. 1. You say about Goal -"Is the film a rip-off? The question is inevitable, the answer even more so" - Can you please explain the number of movies which would have "inspired" OSO? - Karan Arjun, Karz and hundreds of movies on re incarnation. I believe there is no mention of this in your review. You even go on to say that it is a celebration of tthe 70's era. If copying somethin is celebration, I pity those who attempt to make original movies. I also pity those who read your review. 2.This is a how-do-you-count-the-ways kind of bad film. Do you think OSO then deserved the 3.5 stars? You call Farah a Queen and Khan a King. It was the worst piece of acting i have ever seen. OK in Saawariya was much better than the OK in OSO. If you know a thing or two about making movies, please let your dear friend SRK know about that. He needs your help. 3.You say "the film that raises an extremely bizarre perception of anti-Asian racism in the UK" - If you ask this question to a punjabi taxi driver or a bangladeshi restaurant owner in UK, you would probably come back with a black eye.So you dont believe in Racism? Fine. Can I then assume you believe in Re incarnation in OSO . It was oh so believable!!!! 4. You thank Farah at the end of your OSO review. I mean what the hell. You thank her for churning out this utterly despicable movie. Personally, Farah has just choreographed the movie, shes not even directed the movie. Anyways, a thank you coming from a movie c

Sure. But what I really want RAJA sen to know is that he is partial to Certain films and certain actors. I just wanted to highlight that. Personally i dont care if OSO or Goal is a hit or not.

I completly agree with Prem, for people if SRK is in the movie then it is a good film no matter how stupid it is..OSO is a stupid boring film, as for inspiration ...any sports film has the same basic story line..chak de was no exception..,,niether wud be goal..and gutur trade reports dont vindicate a stand...critics dont like fanaa but it went on to become one of the biggest hits of the year and reviewers loved hazaroon khwahishein and it dint set the box office on fire...a reviewer has to review the film irrespective of the fact who stars in the film....u cant be biased as a reviewer...which raja sen is....and so is taran adarsh...TOI review atleast is a little good..rest all reviews are all biased...

hahaha fati sabki' even rajiv masand give 1 star
buzz18 give 1 star to goal.
and if u are talking about oso that its a spoof of 70s then i want to tell u that they have make very clear from 1st promo that they have made the spoof of 70s so everybody know about it before even film released. by the way oso has made biggest second week record and beat dhoom 2's previous records. congrates u all srk haters. yes one more thing oso's second week collection is more then saawaria's first week collection.

hey..i personally dont give a damn as to how good goal is.All I am saying is if you want to use a yardstick to rate a movie..use it to rate all other movies to. dont suck upto King khan becos he is the king.. It was not a spoof...it was a "CELEBRATION of the 70's" as they would term it. OSO may be the biggest movie ever, that does not make it the greatest. And yeah I dont give a damn abt Saaw either.

Prem Kumar...Going by the trade reports, OSO is a huge hit. That vindicates Raja Sen's stand on OSO. Why do you guys have to bash SRK everytime his film releases, and you are the very guys who watch the film atleast twice... Grow up yaar

A Huge hit does not mean its a good movie. Then you and I can write the review. We dont need one RAJA SEN for that. I think you need to grow and watch good cinema.
I work in a wireless startup where the bulk of the management (sales, marketing, professional services) are Brits. The racism that the film shows is manifested at my workplace too. While nearly all of the engineering and R&D work is accomplished by Indians, the Brits steal the credit and pose as if they own the company. Their behavior towards Indians, even those in peer positions, is supercilious and downright derogatory. I have not encountered this attitude from Americans which is why, if I were to choose, I will live either in the US or in India, but never in godforsaken Blighty! May the Brits go to hell!

have you ever seen football ?????i mean good football played in the EPL or spanish league????if you have then how can you even compare this nonsense of a film called GOAL containing a bimbo named bipasha basu and a model-turned actor "posing" with a football as a decent movie ??????......beats me
RE:crap review
by on Nov 26, 2007 11:13 AM Permalink
if these actors don't appear as good as the EPL players it is because they are not professional football players, they are actors who work hard and get paied to appear as the characters they play. and they looked pretty good in the movie as footballers. give them credit for that, what about these footballers, can they act as good as these guys? each is good in their own field, so dont compare a movie with a real EPL match

and waste their time and money.....don't listen to girls....they know nothing about sports and went to see the film only because they saw John Abraham posing with a football on a poster and thought it cute......God help us all !!!

hello let me clear you one thing...i am a football player and i am sure i know much better about sports than you..so stop saying that girls dont know anything about sports..give it up you loser..first go and watch the movie and then say..

how do you know its not genuine ?????? and by the looks of the posters and the trailers this film needs some bashing
Mr. Raja staying in India you have no idea about the existence of racism here in the UK. It may not be loud and physical like the 1950's but still exist like a silent killer and that's why people like you are decieved. What you forget is the likes of Ronado and sahas had been there in the earlier times as well. The black community is accepted as an integral part of Uk but not the Asians.get up from your slumber and take a look around the world.

I liked your analysis (read as joke).. i.e, IF SRK IS.. the fact is that neither SRK is best actor nor Raja sen is best reviewer..
