I had lot of expectations from the way the publicity of the movie was made. When I watched the movie I felt more like being in a theater watching a drama. There was no sun in the movie and it never toughed my heart in the love concept of the movie. The image Sanjay Leela Bansali had is completely drained in this movie. I think one has to understand always being in dream shows one is sleeping more rather than being awake in the day to be sensible. I hope Sanjay Leela Bansali wakes up now makes good movies like "Hum Dil de chuke sanam". I am very sorry for the audience who pay from their pocket and waste their weekend by watching unrealistic movie like this which makes no scence. --Y

Guys, Harry Potter and Terminator is imagination. It is a different category of movie to which we are comparing. I understand and appreciate for the fact that we are trying to encourage a Indian movie. Movie being made on love and if the movie doesn't touch the heart of the audience I am not sure for if I would appreciate. Harry Potter is a children movie and our expectations are set well. Where as here the picturisation is just wonderful with the studio set made. I really admire and a fan of Sanjay for his bringing dream in to reality. In this movie he made a mistake of not reading the script and dialogues. There is not even a single strong dialogue nor a good joke. The entire movie was more fake than having some the moral proved. Rani's role is the only role 30% justified, rest all I felt not held upto standard. Salman Khan role is utter waste and he is hardly audible also.

look i agree that all movies are unrealistic - after all is Om shanti Om realistic? But it has to be ENTERTAINING! Even if it is a slow movie - look at Trikaal or 36 Chowrangee Lane or Mr & Mrs Iyer - these were not fast paced thrillers by any means. But they were GRIPPING and hence ENTERTAINING! thats what a movie shud be and this movie is NOT. its wrong to thing buy will buy into your vainglorious dreams - why? If you just have a pointless dream which has nothing to say why shud i be interested in it?
purii media sawariya ko bura bole rahi hai dikha rahi hai magar sach ekdam alag hai maine cd me picture dekhi bahoot darte darte lekin itani pyari picture so beautifully made ab lagta hai sanjay lila ne sahi kaha ki om shanti om ki team ne paise diye hai media ne sharukh khan ko sharm anni chahiye aisi ghatiya harkat ke liye

Review from The Straits Times Singapore written by Ong Sor Fern, " For something completely different, try this bollywood offering from Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who gave the world lavish Devdas(2002). This handsomely art directed, swoonsomely dreamy musical has young star crossed lovers in a fairy tale setting. Just to keep things from getting to saccharine, veteran bollywood stars Mukherjee and khan pop up in extended cameo roles to add spice to the mix". This film critic has given four & half stars for this movie.

abe iska sidha sidha explaination hai - gore pagal hote hai. they love all this song and dance and music. Unko toh bride and prejudice bhi acchi lagi thi. To hum to pagal nahi hai na?
Raja sen .... am really not sure how much of cinema you really understand... forget cinema ... of much even art you really understand. i guess your review of OSO says it all....
Rediff could do with inviting critics who understand art and are open to experiencing and exploring new forms of narration and presentation. Saawariya may not be a flawless classic but it sure is a lot more than what mr sen perceives it to be.
what does one mean by statements like overbaked version of a simple romance!! who ever defined romance to be simple in the first place and who said overbaked stuff can't taste good at times... gosh lets try to bring in a better understanding to art if not anything else.
critics have been called critics for their ability to be objective ... not judgmental and biased.

At the end of the day, Ranbir, Sonam and Deepika are the BEST gifts to Bollywood, and a very welcome change for the audience. Here's hoping they rule!! As the kid in the Pepsi commercial says,"zara side de, uncle"!!!!
