I myself waiting for this movie......it's been a long time Aamir's movie has come. Aamir ....please make a lot of movies, so that you always be in the news and of course the other so called great actors don't get a chance to call themselves No.1

Exactly !!! This article is on films music but some SRK fans just cant keep their gutter shut. Bringing Kamal Hasan was just an excuse. See how quickly discussion translates to praising SRK and criticising Aamir. Moral of the story: No matter how big SRK is on Box office, he and his fans will always feel a pinch of jealousy to the versatality, perfection and class of Aamir. Thanks to Ammi for bringing to Notice what this discussion should be about(Sorry I havent bought the track yet so writing this) and to Aritro for mentioning something about the soundtrack
the track Maa is a show-stopper......it seemed like i was talking to my Maa....ultimate salute to the lady......am missing my maa like hell.......please check this number all you....and if like me haven't told your mother how much you love her or that the only reason you exist is her, go tell her now.........wish i could hug my mother now....its hurting :(
It's just shocking how much blind fan following Aamir has among so-called educated elite. How can one term Aamir as a perfectionist when he acts clean-shaven as a villager (Lagaan) sports a cool-dude haircut as a teacher (TZP) and his Rang De Basanti was devoid of any sort of common-logic (can anyone shake-hands with India's central minister, leave alone doing what they did in the film in the middle of Lutyen's Delhi? or sneak into AIR station). All this hype created by him has no basis- except the fact that he is a master at film-advertising/ marketing. Pardon me if I am ruthless in comparing him, because if there is one actor who is a perfectionist in modern Indian films it is Kamal Haasan, however his success at box-office is. For all that, SRK has argueably taken on some real challenging roles and cared little about Star value until directors started milking his image. Aamir is neither here nor there- he is neither a blemishless actor, nor is he a mega-star who can rise above the script to save a film. Before you guys start the ritualistic, region/racist abuses, please look at how idiotic some of you are in praising a morally-corrupt, egoistic star who is pretending to be an intellectual actor without much basis.

How was one able to shoot at Indira Gandhi? how one suicide bomber reach Rajiv Gandhi and kill on the spot? Its reel life wherein some can be real and some fictious. Movies are imaginative narration and efforts of a team to give entertainment. If you say like what u have said, then logically none can be correct according to u. So just be logical throughout your life irrespective of situations or adjust to situation dude... Have a say which can appeal to others and not annoy. Good Luck

My reply is directed at Krish and Shalom. It has become a habit among the thinking public to run down achievers. And so you have this phenomenon of people favouring one actor and simultaneously running down another. Yes Kamalahasan is a terrific actor, possibly the best or one of the best in India and the world. Praise him but DO NOT RUN DOWN AAMIR KHAN IN A PETTY MANNER. Aamir IMO, is one of the best things in Hindi cinema over the past fiften years. His first film QSQT was so different compared to the muck of the 80s. He was good as the earnest young doomed lover, funny in DHKMN, filmy yet lovable hero in Dil, charming and funny in the children's film HHRPK, a terrific tapori in Rangeela, a different tapori who made one laugh and cry in Ghulaam, amazing in Earth and absolutely fabulous in Sarfarosh. He is also one hell of a cinematically literate star, well read and discerning, similar to Kamal. In fact I have often thought of him as Mumbai version of Kh.Agreed KH is a natural actor, while Aamir is less spontaneous[yet effective and obviously works at his role].
In Lagaan Aamir wished to sport a moustache like all villagers of that period. In his blog he mentions how he argued withAshutosh, that a drought ridden village could not have a clean shaven Bhuvan, but Ashutosh insisted on the clean shaven look.Aamir's look has always fitted his role. His funky look in DCH has charmed a whole generation. His TZP hairstyle is fine, reminding of aponytailed male teacher colleague.

And what gives Mr. Krish the right to call Aamir Khan morally corrupt? What we know from media cannot be taken at face value since this passionate film maker is also an obvious disaster at PR. Many talented showbiz people are good at their profession, but bad with personal relationships, but we the public have no right to sit in judgement since the truth often lies somewhere in between media portrayal and public perception. KH has had his share of personal problems, made plenty of news over the years and finally come to some sort of contentment and peace with a mature film industry colleague, according to media reports. Let him be. And leave Aamir alone too. His recent spate of bad press seems like the worst thing he would need before the release of a sensitive first directorial venture. He was happily getting his film ready for release, interacting very inteliigently and wittily with his fans and supporters through his blog--when suddenly a sibling and father pull the carpet from under his feet. Even if there were family problems why did they rush to the media and make a tamasha that could and has possibly affected their achiever-earning member's career?

No doubt Kamal Haasan is a good actor, proof:Movie where he plays the failed dancer, Sadma. But many of his other movies he over acts and gets boring:Hey Ram etc.
Go to schools now, you will not find Generation x'rs(born 1965 to 1980) and Ys(born after 1980) to have the old school teacher's look. I have couple of my batch mate who are teachers, but they look cool.
SRK is a mass star no doubt, but he should not work with Karan or Farah, they just type cast him and do not use SRK to his potential.
Aamir is the coolest actor in Bollywood, watch Dil Chata hai, Lagaan (come on guys, there are older people in north india without a beard, hair is a genetic thing, not every villager will have a beard etc). Aamir decided to make this movie on children with learning disablity. He should be aplauded, he is working on Gajini which will rock too. Aamir's movies are fun to watch, when compared with run of mill hindi movies.

I agree with you about the so-called 'perfectionist' tag the media has given Aamir. It's no different from the 'chirpy' Chawla, 'ravishing' Raveena types of adjectives. Though I have loved Aamir in many films, like you pointed out, Aamir is nowhere near an actor like Hassan or the now-big Tamil star Vikram when it comes to perfection. Just watch Kamal as a ventriloquist in the black & white Avargal, his transformation in Nayakan, as the palghat brahmin cook in Michael Madan Kam Rajan, as the blind violinist in Raja Paarvey (just look at the way he plays the violin like a pro and compare it to the way King Khan holds the instrument in Mohabbattein) or the subtlities he brings in playing almost every character even in the most absurdest of masala films...
Watch Kamal in the following original films and compare to Anil Kapoor's performances in their Hindi remakes/copies to see what I'm talking about...
Swati Mutyam (Telugu) and Eshwar (Hindi) Sakala Kala Vallavan (Tamil) and Abhimanyu (Hindi) Thevar Magan (Tamil) and Virasat (Hindi) Sati Lilavati (Tamil) and Biwi No.1 (Hindi)
(BTW, before you guys start yet another North-South fight here, let me state that I am not South Indian, but consider myself a film buff. I have enjoyed many Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films courtesy my Southie friends)

i like amir. if you don't then don't see his films. from what i read you have seen all his films. why? if you don't like him? you can however refrain from sermonising with shallow statements. before seeing a movie you decide that a hair cut is wrong. you also decide that all villagers need to have long beards. you question fictional situations in a movie(which anyways is a director's prerogative) without understanding or realising the philosophy of the movie.
take my word. do not make a fool of yourself in a public forum.

Are you Sount Indian so that favoring about Kamal Hasan. Dear friend both the actors have their own space. Kamal Hasan is good at his postion while Aamir was more good at his position. SRK is nowhere dear. It's only chopra/johar productions who make him star. they are those directors who can make anybody star. see where is Abhishek, nowhere, he doesn't have any telent but due to those directors he is getting suucees only. so don't make comparison of Kamal & Aaamir. both are good actors.

hello mr krish u r taking abt kamlhasan.ho good his movies were say.panchatantarm and alavandan.were they ultr realistic..or so called master piece in making dasavataraam just understand the reality mate even kamal is no megastar who can carry a film on his shoulders. u said aamirkhan morally corrupt..what a non sense. he was the actor only who raised his voice against gujarat riots and Islamic fundamentalism wher was ur kamal sitting then infact wat were u doin then come on mate b logical
Aamir Khan should have worked on his look for this movie. He is playing a teacher and in India we don't have teachers who sport a look of cool dude. He need not have to play old but he could have tried a more realistic look.
