Why we go to movies...
by jaykumar bhardwaj on Mar 16, 2007 04:11 PM  Permalink

We go to movies to forget ourselves for some time. Then what movies teach us remains in our mind. These heroic act not only envolve us but also evolves Unconscious brain and thinking procedure. So, if a movie can draw us in, Paisa wasool.. No comment on these critics, i think they are useless just to increase the page hits and messages...:-)

Amatuer review from an Amatuer movie-buff
by ningam wangshul on Mar 16, 2007 04:06 PM  Permalink

As we all know, this movie is based on the graphical novel from Frank Miller. And hence it was made solely for the entertainment purpose (visual delight). I can%u2019t see why Raja Sen has to relate it with being unrealistic; I hope (but God forbid) he will give the same review for Sin City (from the same author Frank miller).
This type of movies has nothing to do to make it more realistic, but are made just for the wholesome entertainment of the audience.
Hope Raja would be able to understand the various genre of movies and the targeted audiences before he give a meaningless review for the forthcoming movies

reviews
by Kamal Kumar Arvind on Mar 16, 2007 03:58 PM  Permalink

well you dont expect anything from the people who judge rhitwik roshan as best actor for dhoom 2. I guess they dont want people to watch good movies. If people started liking these movie then they wont be able to appreciate shahrukh, salman, aamir shitt (so called superstars of india)!!... bust yes these guys should not misguid readers by writing such reviews on popular websites... they sued be suid by distributors and producers.....

My message to those people.... if you cannt do good shitt then atleast try to appreciate it...

Whatever happened to responsible media
by Dinesh on Mar 16, 2007 03:57 PM  Permalink

I think it's not Raja Sen's but Rediff's strategy to increase hits by starting a controversial topic everyday and then ask for discussion. Be it cricket, godhra, hindu-muslim, cauvery or anything else.We have enough things to fight about already and please rediff be more sensible

Bad Review
by aa bb on Mar 16, 2007 03:50 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I can't remember the last time i saw Mr Raja Sen appreciating any movie.
I think he deliberately makes it a point to "prove a point"

Usual stuff for film critics..
by on Mar 16, 2007 03:49 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I'm sure its much better than the way it is portrayed in this artile. I guess it has become a habit for these film critics to write something bad about a good film. They would even find flaws with something like 'The Departed' or 'Forrest Gump' for that matter, when there is none..So guys dont trust these guys and go watch it if the trailer excites you...

dont u guys think its time rediff fired Mr. Raja Sen..guess he goes for the movies n sleeps off..whichever movie gives him a sound sleep will find a good review. evidently 300 is quite a loud movie, and hence didnt get the appreciation it deserved from Mr.Sen.How can he possibly not have words to describe such a cool movie..?? guess all the adrenalin flowing out in the movie was not enough for Mr.Sen to write a nice review... :)

Crap review, Awsome movie
by nikhil soni on Mar 16, 2007 03:45 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

u reviewers jst aren't gud enough to review an english film. the untrue vistas and the very stylized unrealities are the very strengths of the film.

Next time before writing a crap review like this, atleast ask some more audience about it
