Madhuri
by Rajesh Chinchankar on Mar 10, 2007 12:59 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Oh God...Please help our film makers to choose a young actress for heroine roles and not a 40 yr old of yesterday. This one the reasons why Hollywood is famous Vs Bollywood.
Secondly,Mrs.Madhuri please identify, analyse roles properly that suite you before you start working..ITS LIKE DRIVING A OLD MODEL CAR.

Such a big banner dont have any excuse for her age so why u?

Acting dont have age as hurdle.

U dont worry about her choice of films.
For many years she is doing that.

& Why u r comparing Hollywood vs bollywood.
There is no question of comparing that.
Hollywood is having diff style & bollywood is having diff style of making movies.

you have gone out of your mind and that's the reason you are talking nonsense...she ls looking stunning and her million dollar smile still steals the hearts of the everyone...with her comeback in the industry, the actresses of today will be insecure...she has always live upto the expections and always proved her critics wrong...la dixit is still the queen of hearts and wish her all the best and hope that she is going to rule bollywood again....

Madhuri looks as beautiful as ever.
60% of hollywood actors are about 40 anyways and still signing up films, ur comparision is rubbish. I am sure Madhuri will do well as she is very talented

It is very bad that being woman u r saying that she should stay back at home for her family.
This is very sad for our society & India.

How u can be such old thinking.
If she wills she can act & she will act in future.

Yashraj has given her offer, it is the proof itself that he is talented enough & there is no doubt on that.

oh gosh! u must be really narrow-minded!!! and since u r comparing Bollywood to Hollywood, ever heard of Meryl Streep? Julia Roberts? Diane Keaton? Dame Judi Dench? and how they all rule the show? N who can forget Helen Mirren?
Maybe u should check ur notes beforehand...
it's not young or skimpy clothes wearing heroines that we need, but maybe some actresses who can actually deliver a good performance!

The one and the Ultimate
by pinky on Mar 09, 2007 11:24 PM  Permalink

Madhuri is looking lovely and cheerful.
To all those who are out to critisize her, I am willing to Bet that you will be among the
first ones to watch her movie when it releases. That itself will show you how interested you are
too have her come back again.
She is looking great at her age and she is neither wanting to or interested in looking
or acting like a 20 year old.She is here to do roles which only she can do justice to.She even today has
made all of us not just give her a second glance but glance after glance. The ones who have found
some fault or the other with her are the ones who have been gazing at her the longest !! how else can
one find fault in someone as lovely and adorable as her.
If she is 40 she is going to look somewere close to that. But to have the will to work out , lose weight and
come and act takes a strong woman.Cheers to that and God Bless her !!

Age doesn't matter
by Diya Desai on Mar 09, 2007 08:44 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Although some people might think other wise....i think its talent that counts not age....if madhuri at 40 is still better than 20 somthing or 30 somthing aishwaryas, preitys, priyankas then i say....there's leading lady we need in movies......if srk, salman, sanjat dutt, anil k can still come in lead roles why can't madhuri (or sridevi for that matter)....indian men are sometimes sexist but that's only them....the rest of the world is ready to accept you in a lead role provided the role does justice to your talent (not age)...welcome back madhuri!

Old?
by on Mar 09, 2007 06:58 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

So Shahrukh can play Don, Sanjay Dutt can be a romantic lead, Amithabh can fall in love with an 18 year old. But (heaven forbid) a WOMAN take a role at age 39 where shes not a mother or a bahbi and its a case 'she's too much of an old hag for a role'....a role by the way which no one really knows anything about! (doesnt that make all the negative

Interesting to see such sexist views expressed on International Womens Day

Very well said indeed!!To add to the list of men who can't accept their age..... it's probably worse, unfortunately in the South- Chiranjeevi and Rajnikant clearly in their 50's and even the so-called younger breed (Nagarjun, Venkatesh and a balding Balakrishna )can romance 20-something-year olds, but the heroines are out of the race in their mid 20's!!!. It sooo reeks of sexism!!!

I think Madhuri looks more gorgeous now than she was in her 'ek do teen' days, if that's possible- absolutely ravishing!
I wish someone would just smack the sexist pig who compared her to an old model car... I thought the only people who were insensitive enough to make a statement as politically incorrect as that were car salesmen!
