I checked with a Tamil friend of mine. Vazhvey Maayam according to him is one of the great movies but it is a totally different movie. There the hero dies of cancer, He pretends not to love the herione after he comes to know about it and some other female falls in love with the hero and the hero dies in the end. Similarity with Mungaru Male - Not at all! So Kamal stop spreading the lies, Just go watch Mungaru male, enjoy the acting from evergreen Ananth Nag and Ganesh. Enjoy the powerfull screenplay, fantastic photography and the most amazing songs. I heard Sonu Nigam makes it a point to sing "anisuthi de yaaku indhu" in all his concerts. If you cant buy the CD al least listen to the songs on www.kannadaaudio.com
Mangalaru male is a copy of Vazhvey Maayam. I just saw the plot outline them both and they are similar. Its just a remake of Vazhvey Maayam with mordern naration to it. Even the part where kamal drinks a lot is mixed in with the kanada version.

If it is so why has tamil superstar vijay bought the remake rights of Mungaru male paying a whooping sum. Is he mad or what. Moreover Mungaru male will be remade in 14 languages.Thats why it is told it is the mother of all movies.

This is ridiculus man, check the facts before U write crap like this. Mungaru Male and Vazhvey Maayam dont even have one scene that is common between these two movies! These guys cant appreciate talent and can only dig out non-sense like this! In fact Vazhvey Maayam was a remake of Telugu classic Premabhishekam and Kamal was not even half of ANR in it. So check facts before U write
Kannada movies were bad some time ago because it were remade from hindi, tamil.telgu thinking that all movies made in these movie industry was great but in actual it was crap. Now with originals coming in kannada movies have become very good.

really hats off to Ganesh and Vijay for superb performance in MM and Duniya also thanks to Yograj Bhat and Soori for giving good quality film and changing the growth pahse of SANDALWOOD. We all expect good movies ahead . and last Please reduce or stop remaking
It is good news to Kannada film industry as young and creative talents are shaping the future of our films. MM and Duniya are the gr8 examples. Young directors like Soori, Yogaraj Bhat,Nagatihalli, Indrajith Lankesh, Kavita Lankesh are bringing innovative ideas. Even the songs are really great. Mano murthy, Gurukiran etc are bringing new ideas into music direction. This is good trend. But our people should make more originals. Some directors like S Narayan, Sudeep, Ramesh Arvind should stop simply copying Tamil/Hindi movies and make originals. Even the ugly trend of making Kannada songs look like Hindi songs(90% Hindi,10% Kannada) should stop. Also Kannada industry people should do better marketing of good movies and get them screened in all parts of India and abroad like US/UK/Gulf where large concentration of Kannadigas is seen. Best of luck to Kannada and Kannada films. Kannada Chirayuvagali!

Yes, you are right. The kannada songs are less of kannada words and more of hindi and english words..try to use good kannada sahitya..
Hi Buddys, You asked me the above question. Yes,If people watch movie makes money. Let me give an example of "SHIVAJI".Except rajini fans & tamilians no other ppl praised the movie. In shivaji forum itself most of the tamilians agreed that movie was not good. But the movie made huge money all bcoz of ppl craziness to watch movie. In karnataka ppl dont watch a bad movie, even though if DR.RAJKUMAR acted in it..I can give a examples if u want..
I found a message far below, Few members had used abusive language to a lady and are not sorry. Lady or Gentleman is not a matter. But I dont think she has told something very worst spoil the image of anyone. And for what she has spoken, the reply to her is very very bad, which is not acceptable. And even after that members say she is been making provoking statements. And I am sorry for those statements made by other members. Bye..
here the rediff article is about movie and acting. but that lady commented about south Indians in general and u just saw one side of the face. If she didnt provoke then it would have been fine. see the aggressiveness in the post. U too became aggressive when u replied to the post with topic/heading "Why Rajni not acting in Kannada" RIGHT. So tahts what is provocation. There are ways to express but when its hitting then obviuosly it will be replied in the same manner. comment about movie after watching it and not before. South makes realistic movies and whenever bollywood makes such it entirely flops. see hindi movie Vivah and Swamy. People didnt accept it for what it was made. But it was received very well in south. For us Messages are the important fact and story narration but that lady seems to look at physique. When it means right to expression, it doesnt mean that no limits applies. Constitution of India too says same. Good luck and Bye

yes u r correct and the climax where Ganesh burries the Rabbit and that hurting, teasing smile of sanjana gandhi when she married other fellow is still in my mind and this movie is awesome wrt emotions, cinematography, Editing, choreography, direction, music and lyrics. Opps not to other support members. All are excellent and very much to the tastes of the Kannadighas. jai Gandhadha Gudi, Jai Karnataka, Jai Hind.
