Please read the correct review of the movie at http://www.fullhyderabad.com/scripts/profiles.php3?section=Movies&name=Guru&ID=4297. Yuva was better. This is Mani pandering to his hero-worship of Abhishek, who has definitely given a good performance, but nowhere equal to what he did for Mani in Yuva, where the character was all-black, no confusing shades of grey. Extremely predictable, not vintage Mani. Mani should make something as endearing as MounaRagam/Anjali/Geetanjali or as powerful as Kannaththill Muththamittaal, which are his best, others remain forgettable.
Shalini did not figure in Anjali...The mentally challenged girl is played by Shamili, Shalini's younger sister in real-life. Please correct the same above
I saw Guru an hour ago in Jersey... and i was real dissapointed. I have always watched Mani's movies and appreciated his effort.... But Guru is so pathetic movie....its nothing but perforance
no screenplay, weak story line discontinued scenes, wastage of actors, too much songs, bad dialogs..there are plenty to count on....
Hi I have watched the Guru movie yesterday in USA.. Vey nice movie.. Abishek acting is simply wonderful.... Must watch film..
Manirathnam proved once again...The story of one ordinary villager bocome a owner of Big company in India.. Yes Relaiance story ..very inspirational one..
Finally, rediff.com have given a quality review on a quality topic worth to read several times. Expecting more reviews on similar quality topics rather than dealing with substandard topics

I don't think Shalini was Anjali's elder sister in the movie Anjali. I think the writer has amde a mistake.
