contestants are getting on very well with SRK. His show is entertaining. Contestants are very comfortable with him than Mr. Amitabh. In future too let him keep up this xero defect in his show, and go on entertain, except the hugging as the same should only be on choice.
There shud be no comparison at all. Amitabh was supported by, Mrs.Indira Gandhi, Mr. Rajiv Gandhi, Khaja Ahmed Abbas, Anwar Ali (comedian Mahmood's brother), Manmohan Desai, Salim-Javed, Amar Singh, Mulayam Singh, Anil Ambani, etc.etc. One thing he tried to do on his own, he failed miserably in keeping ABCL's flag flying. He had to mortgaged his house. He imitated, copied, frame by frame, the great Dilip Kumar. SRK climbed the ladder on his own, he is doing it alright, let us support the new blood to suit the new generation.
NEW DELHI: All eyes were transfixed on Shah Rukh when he sat on the Kuan Banega Crorepati hot seat on Monday. Shah Rukh%u2019s every action was scrutinised by experts with TRP figures suggesting Shah Rukh was still way behind Amitabh Bachchan when he hosted KBC -2.
The TRP figures clearly suggest the supremacy of Amitabh over Shah Rukh. When Shah Rukh hosted KBC on Monday, TRP figures were 5.3 points. Mumbai recorded TRP points of 2.5 followed by Kolkata with two points. As compared to KBC -2, Shah Rukh%u2019s effort clearly doesn%u2019t make the desired impact.
Compare the figures with Amitabh Bachchan%u2019s KBC -2, when the Big B hosted the show for the first time and the results are there for everyone to see. When the Big B hosted KBC -2, Mumbai recorded a high of 9.5, Delhi was at 6.5 and Kolkata a decent 3.4 points. It clearly means in the first round the Big B was the clear winner over the flamboyant Shah Rukh. Amap, an agency which deals with TRP figures has furnished these figures. Another agency, TAM has said its TRPs would be out on Thursday night.
Big B%u2019s style of %u201Clocking%u201D answers has been done away by Shah Rukh, who has tried to develop his own style by %u201Cfreezing%u201D the answers. What%u2019s more when a contestant leaves the show, Shah Rukh hugs him replacing Big B%u2019s seriousness with his own light-hearted approach, still viewers find something missing in the new show.
The fact is Amitabh has set such high standards that it would be very difficult for anyone to match, at least not in a hurry. Big B%u2019s style and booming voice had made television viewers delirious with joy. Shah Rukh himself is leaving no stone unturned in capturing the hearts and minds of the viewers. He has tried to get more youngsters to watch the show by using %u201Chinglish%u201D as opposed to pure Hindi. He has even tried to introduce light hearted banter and jokes to make the show lively. Even though Shah Rukh calls the computer %u201CMr. Computer%u201D instead of %u201CComputerji%u201D which was famously used by Amitabh, still viewers find nothing original in the show.
