by pranay on Oct 11, 2006 06:36 PM  Permalink

ramu will definately prove his expertise in making remake of sholay i can see lot of hard work on amitji's makeup and the cast itself is very strong to perform, it needs a strong man to perform it amitji on his 64 is still a strong man as far as his acting career is concern

This is a ridiculous attempt
by prasad on Oct 10, 2006 03:33 PM  Permalink

Remaking the great movie 'SHOLAY'is not only silly but out and out insulting the original. For that matter all such remakes are so. Why do these directors of today wish to trample on the sweet memories of so many fans of OLDIES like me?
If they can't find subjects readily. they should explore rather, or shut shop. Honestly speaking-
Go to the countryside and see the lives, you will find a million stories. Please don't try to reap profits by remaking the great grocers of the yesteryears.

The success of the new Sholay depends all in the cast, I will wait to see who is playing the role of Veeru, Jai and Thakur and offcourse Basanti.

Use research to make it a HIT
by Vinay on Oct 09, 2006 06:29 PM  Permalink

This new Sholay can be a hit IF Ramu uses proper customer centric research to find the ideas that may click with this remake. Our film industry is still following the good-old practice of intuition and not embracing the modern way of making films. Like in Hollywood, a good amount of money is spent on pre and during prduction research over film to ensure its post-release success.
Why they don't think scientifically!!
