Kudos

Dalton was a better bond any given day than Roger Moore. Infact his smirks with one raised eyebrow just make you stop realising that he is Bond reminds more of our jumping jack Jeetendar.

I fully agree with you.I always liked this wonderful actor.People are more or less cynics who like Moore and Pierce. Even now some told me that Casino Royale is not like thje "usual "Bond movie, obviously missing the stupid gadgets and equally stupid girls.Lets forgive them for their ignorance.

I agree

Dalton definitely deserves more credit than he has got so far. While Sean and Rog were arguably the best, Dalton did create his own style and had the guts to stand by it.

Licence to Kill
by Venky on Nov 21, 2006 09:53 PM  Permalink

I think Licence to kill is a great movie and Dalton is at his best. His portrayal as a angry man seeking revenge is casted well.

Bond Review
by Tom on Nov 21, 2006 06:43 PM  Permalink

As usual the one sided crap from Raja Sen. Please Mr.Sen do not generalise stuff when you write articles in sites with large readership. If you feel that Sean is the best bond say that 'I firmly believe that Connery is the best Bond'. You have no right to say that we all agree that Sean is the best bondor there is no question whatsoever. Connery was Good. Maybe third best. Films like thunderball and goldfinger where pathetic with such fickle plots. Compared to that Brosnan in World is not enough and Die another Day was simply awesome. Craig is the best. brosnan is second. I own the entire collection of Bond movies and do like Dalton so I would give him equal status with Connery. Moore and Lazenby obviously will grace the last pages of my list.

License to Kill
by LoyalCasanova on Nov 21, 2006 06:26 PM  Permalink

Yes , I think Dalton had to fill the void of Roger Moore and that expectation let him down. Though not handsome in the Brosnon - Moore league but he held his own with far better script in License to Kill .

The gritty revenge story had its high moment when James resigns from HMSS and his License to Kill is revoked. Thats the most serious Bond moment ( After the scene where his wife is shot in On Her Majesty's Secret Service).

Craig has been lucky to have a good script & director to model him into a darker & grittier Bond. Hopefully they will add more twists and intrigue into the next film.

Good read but try something original
by Vamsi on Nov 21, 2006 05:49 PM  Permalink

It was a good read, but I seriously don't think its your own writing or idea. One can search the entire web and find out a lot of the material which the article has lifted.nuff said but it was really a good read.
