guru's soundtrack
by vinay chandran on Nov 23, 2006 09:22 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I think nowadays A.R.Rehman is not at all interested in his old style.he always tries for the new outputs. The statement in the review is very true that his recent songs are become more popular only after the release of the movie. Now he tries his best to give justice to the script than the trend in the music industry. His last tamil film Sillinru oru kadal also features this style. We can't expect a song like Mumbai vaa sung by shreya ghoshal in a recent tamil movie.

Unfair review
by Sham on Nov 22, 2006 09:06 PM  Permalink

i never read such a stupid review ! i sincerely dont know why the hell the wirter desparely tryng to prove that this film is just an averange !

i do feel this is the best album in bollywood for 2006 and many more years to come..

the album truly deserve 4 or 4.5/5 stars.

i don know why the hell this reviewer s stupid and need to say his "humble" stupid opinion in the 1st paragraph.

i do notice if the reviewer is north indian they usually not giving fair review for a music or film by a osuth indian..

is there any conspiracy happening in rediff.com ??

in my opinion GURU album is 4.5/5 ..although i rare listen to hindi songs..but i do enjoy music if i dont understand the language.

the music is soulful !!!!

i suggest the reveiwer to check his ears and heart so before making such a bloddy unfair review !!!!!!

Guru rocks !!
by Asterix on Nov 21, 2006 03:04 PM  Permalink

Definitely a nice collection of soundtracks.. Some of the songs have a definite Rahman hangover.. Felt Mayya touted to be Ms. sherawat's addition to Guru has a definite Dil Se hangover and some other tamil songs of rahman.. Couldn't recollect which but seems to have a familiar tone..

AR Rahman always gives the best
by sendil on Nov 21, 2006 01:05 PM  Permalink

Guru is a another past period film. May 50's or 70's. Still i will be see a difference in AR Rahman's music always stand out in midst of all other contemporary music around in bollywood. No one can forgot Rang De Basanti's music which is super duper hit.

Still ARR is the only man who always tries different tunes and orchestration and always comes out successful.

Guru's music is one milestone in ARR's Success.
