Arrest warrant for Shilpa & Reema
by Ananthakrishnan on Jun 22, 2006 06:24 PM  Permalink

There are two aspects to this case. The first is whether the magazine publisher is to blame for publishing the "obscene" pictures of these actresses, OR are the actresses to be blamed for striking such a pose for the magazine in case they did so. I feel that if the people of Madurai feel that such pictures are not to be shown to the "young population" of that area, as the judge has entertained such a issue, there are more opportunities for the "young" to view worse pictures than can be "shown" by a magazine.
The whole issue is flimsy and reeks of personal gratification, both for the person who has put such a case in court and the judge for entertaining such an issue.
Who are they trying to shield... nowadays youth is more informative about the sexes and all the issues related to it, and more than necessary information is provided through Tamil Films and its heroines, who have a better reputation through India for their "special" roles.
This case should be rubbished and the judge should be sent for a training on assigning priorities.

well, well, well we at least have a story here. use less but publicity is about the press. hope the press impress us with more valid news which is worth read and thought giving sense and sensibility to themselves and all. the courts of law should bring more important issues and tackle them for the benefit of general masses.

Example to youngsters
by harrison on Jun 22, 2006 12:43 PM  Permalink

Cinema itself spoils the minds of younger generations. It is more severe when actresses reveal their private parts of their body. Nowadays, the dresses worn by actresses, VJ's and music TV compere are an major attraction for young school and college going girls. These actresses wear obscene dresses and see through clothes within the set and inside the screen whereas the same mode of dressing is followed by a few on the roads, and if followed will have tough time walking through the streets of our city and while travelling in buses. So cine actresses, please set an example for our younger generations the way to dress decently.

what a shame
by Rajeev on Jun 21, 2006 09:34 PM  Permalink

What a shame.!! Now they don\\\'t have any better business. There are lot of pending criminal case, Fraud cases, Scam cases which needs to be looked at. Lot of public\\\'s money is going in the bank accounts of Politicians which needs to be looked at, not the cover page of a local evening daily which these actress may not even have heard of........

Shilpa, Reema get arrest warrant
by labrea on Jun 21, 2006 08:13 PM  Permalink

One constantly hears of the huge mountainous backlog of cases clogging the justice system, or rather injustice system, yet courts have time to waste on such mindless stupidity. The $64 question, why are the actresses to appear in court? They're not the publishers of the magazine - if anyone must appear in court on this nonsense, it's the magazine. To the rest of you hypocritical prudish idiots, go get a life!

Obscene
by Muraavu on Jun 21, 2006 07:42 PM  Permalink

High time this is done, these movies and actors have gone far over the limits of decency and basic values in India. I wish that all over India, stringent measures are taken to curb this vulgarity.
