All the women should be treated equally and that too it was our independence day celeberation, have faith and trust on womens. dont think they are help less, help every one and listen to what they have to say and act accordingly. she might be actress, but she is a women too give respect as a women then consider her as a celebrity
Just came for spoiling reputation of Edison + NJ + USA = INDIANS When showing dirty scenes in the movies to innocents kids of the world wasn't ashame!!!!!! I hope she did not get any benifits out of this drama Suresh Divecha : USA
With this kind of hospitality to our guest here. Believe me, I am ashamed to call myself an Indian as I would always boast to my non-indian friends about our hospitality towards our guests. I think we have given ourselves and our community over here in US a very bad name. SHAME ON THOSE WHO DID THIS AND ON THOSE WHO SUPPRESSED HER EVEN ON STAGE.
I congratulate Bipasha and her audactiy on coming forward and announcing publicly of what ever happened to her. Though I have doubts about the whole episode itself nd the reasons for her delayed presence on both occassions. She should have shown the guts had she complianed it to the authorities (police) who would have pulled all the details about her tour. Even now she could complain the same to Indian authroties where she has the clout/influcence. The thing I don\'t iunderstand is the organizers motivation of inviting such \'shed clothes for price\' types to an independence day parade, instead of some social activist or a honest politician.
Only true Indians would have Bipasha Basu to lead the independence day parade.
Only true Indians would let 'Aamir Khan, Vivek Oberoi, Aishwarya Rai, Rani Mukherji, Bipasha Basu and cricketers (who can't participate in Olympics) to be a torchbearer of the Olympic flame but not our golden girl P.T.Usha.
This is just a news report, reporting one side of the story. We cannot possibly attempt to draw conclusions from this article one way or the other, since it reports only what Bipasha says happened to her. It might be completely true or grossly blown out of proportion or completely untrue, so what're u guys getting so excited about? But I do agree with some of u guys. Why Bipasha was invited for an Independence Day celebration and why she was specially flown from India for the occasion(I hope I understood this right), is completely beyond my comprehension? We can probably come up with many, many other worthy people in cinema or other fields, who might better symbolize our country!
Great ! I was shocked to read this article. Not that Bipasha complained of harassment but that SHE was the chief guest for Indian Independene Day celebration. Are no more eminent people left in India with whom we could celebrate Independence. How many of her movies inspire us for patriotism. And she comes from a prefession that deserves respect?????????
This is a serious issue and a shame to the organizers, organizing such a noble event. One would think, living in US, fellow Indians would learn to respect women or at least fear the system. Doesn't matter what Bips does in her profession. She is a celebrity after all to be in the parade. She was bold enough to go public about the treatment she got, she should lodge a formal complaint and get justice.
