Watched the film at PVR cinemas. What a great movie. I am surprised it hasnt won National Award!!!!. Mr. Kasaravalli , Tara , Tara's husband ( in the film) whole team has done a great job. Heard it has been referred to Oscars by Karnataka Film Industry . Hope it is referred by Indian Film Industry for Oskars.
I second your saying that Kasaravalli is a director of international repute. Anybody who watches Haseena can sense that. Its really unfortunate that such movies dont stand against commercial movies in theatres, because they are given the tag of Art movies. I can only feel sad for this movie not being adjudged the best film during the recent national awards ceremony.
Really a must see movie ..... superb in all sections .... but the thing which impressed me more is the PRESENTAION, showing story in flashback(in parts).....
I saw this movie while in chennai (it had a premiere here), and was deeply moved by it. Tara is superb in the movie and richly deserves the national award (and many more). The movie is also a cut above the rest and should have won both the best director and movie awards.
