No dear.. The story line is quite similar to the Kannada movie "HALU - JENU". This movie had Dr. Rajkumar and Madhavi. Moreover even if the story line is similar the treatment is entirely different. Go see the movie... Its really good
i rate is out of out..... never seen such a superb romantic movie..... Its for sure NAGATHIHALLI CHANDRASHEKHAR saaaaar is really the ROMANTIC director of the country..... He has showed what true LOVE is ..... he has expressed that true love in such a good way.....
The best thing i liked was the romantic moments of the couple. really liked the movie very much.... but this is an excellent movie.
Hi, Meaningful cinema in Kannada filmdom thrived in the 60s and 70s. After Puttanna Kanagal, sentimental films became a rarity. But Amrithadhaare has come at a time when most films are just depicting underworld and is all 'Dishum-Dishum'! It is a gem of a movie. As the review says, language becomes inconsequential after a point. Kudos to Nagathihalli, Ramya and Dhyaan and the whole Amrithadhaare team. AB is an added attraction. The chemistry between and Dhyaan and Ramya is amazing. Both can create wonders if they have their heads on their shoulders. Good luck, pals. Just go out and experience the movie.
Amruthadhare -- Truly a great film. Ramya is simply outstanding in this movie- both in terms of looks and acting. Dhyan brings in sincierity to his role. It is a heart rending story of two people who are separated by the cruel death.
While Nagti took us on the ride of America, he takes us to the whole of India this time. Even though it will be known that the heroine dies in the end of movie, we somehow feel she doesn't die and the couple will live happily together, which is not the case.
Amithabh lends the movie a great touch. The cameo does not seem to be forced at any point in the movie. It is infact the essence of whole movie.
With a great camera work by Krishnakumar, superb songs especially by Ashwath, this movie is a MUST SEE FOR ALL.

I think this "BEKKU" was drinking "milk" during the screening of AMRUTHADHARE.Therefore he is comparing AMRUTHADHARE to a C-grade (XX rated) film called KHWAHISH.There is a "AJAGAJAANTARA VYATYASA"(the difference between a sheep and an elephent) between KHWAHISH and AMRUTHADHARE.
