The review of Tango Charlie is utterly irresponsible and stupid.
The writer claims that the movie loses its story line. However he fails to catch the fact that the movie is about depicting the desultory and transient lifestyle of the BSF personnel and hence shifts to various locations and which is a way of work for them.
It is highly irresponsible on the part of Rediff as a company and information provider to be accepting such poor reviews where the reviewer can't even understand the context and object of the movie and creates undue loss of repute to such a magnificent production. Its a shame.
However I would encourage all metro-Indians to go and watch the movie and get a feel of the kind of sacrifices other Indians are giving its the manner and the very well depicted territorial diversity of India. The performances from Ajay Devgan is outstanding (as always) and Bobby Deol has also done satisfactorily.
I hope Rediff shall do something about it and be more responsible towards its patrons.
it is a great moview. idonot know who has given this review but whoever has given doesnot know anything about cinema.it is a superb movie with great performances from both ajay & bobby.even actors in small role like kelly dorji & raj zutshi hav justified their character.and a very very good direction.the scenes shot in the jungle are very very real.it is the best war movie i hav seen ever.
So this filmmaker wants to make a movie - Kashmir is quiet now and too many people have made movies about the issue. He decides, lets look for another new troublespot. He suddenly recalls some small state which was recetly in the news, in the far away northeast with lot of chinky people "What was the place - Manipur". He has also heard about the Bodo millitants somewhere in Assam or Nagaland. Who cares, all look the same. He decides "great idea and" makes a movie.
STUPID do some research first. There are no Bodo millitants in Manipur.
this is the worst review i've ever read. Harish doesn't even know the basics of writing a review. He told the ending of the movie that ajay devgan dies in it!! Now i'm not even interested in watching this movie anymore.
Mr. Harish when you write a review you don't tell the story and ending of the movie. Its called spoiler not a review.Learn the basics first before becoming a movie reviewer. Even a lay man like me can write a better movie review than Harish.
What i'm saying is truth and any one will agree to it.If this comment does not get publish then I will understand that rediff does not believe in honesty and is publishing only the good comments. Even after I saying all this If this comment gets published then my hats of to rediff!

If the reviewer revealed the movie end, what's the big deal, buddy? This is not a suspense movie. Moreover, hindi films are so predictable these days that it really does not matter if you know the end beforehand. The 'masala' more or less remains the same.

hi man before giving some comments on a movie u should know the basic of the story. do u know that there is no BODO militants in manipur...first u plz read some books ok...:)
u all want goodie goodie stuff and want to take it up for oscar nominations...u want the standard of hollywood movies, more than that of the standard of bollywood movies.but when some director sincerely makes an attempt ..say with this type of movie...u treat it as crap:"kya paaka raha hai"....ask that old man who gave this sentence....and ask this writer who included it in this article.......u all are sitting safely in your houses because these ordinary uniformed men are dying unsung deaths daily........you all don't want to see a practical reality at all....agreed if this is a flop in the box-office,but at least as a mark of respect pl show/potray with decent sentence formations in your articles.afterall we all [ including you] are proud indians, and this is not a decent way to put across to other people....trust me...'coz i hail from a defence background.i have seen such lawlessness, such human horrors, human right violations out of frustration, such rapid mobilisations across diffent sectors of our undeclared wars. Be mature with a sense of national responsibility.

I don't agree with the above post by Rohit Kumar. I haven't seen Tango Charlie, and I haven't liked this particular review, especially since this so-called reviewer gives away the ending. But what has the quality of a movie review got to do with one's patriotism and respect for our the men of the BSF? Just because the subject of the movie is about soldiers protecting our borders no one is supposed to criticize the movie? Remember, the critique is about the movie and not about real men dying for our country. Don't these brave soldiers deserve to depicted in the best possible way? So the reviewer has a different opinion about this movie than you. What, he can't say so without you jumping down his throat and questioning his nationalism. Remember, The BSF not only fights for you security but also your freedom, and that includes freedom of speech. Grow up.
