yeh,you are absolutely right.its a wonderful movie .we all must watch it as many times as possible.saif's performance is appreciable.he has proved himself to be one of the best.
Dtto! i watched parineeta today as well. you probably were luckier than me to get a complimentary pass. but i could have turned back and watched another back-2-back show but the tickets to the next show were sold out by the time i got out, all floaty and drechned in the magic of light-coloured sepia tones. i think you should have spared the cinematographer some praise as well. the contrasts and old world furniture will be thanking him for a long time, making us wonder how we came to become a generation of wrought iron tea-poys and disposable futtons.
as a wannabe films maker this is one film that I truly truly hoped, i had the right contacts to be a part of the directorial team. absolutely musty watch.
and while on the subject of vidya ballan, don't you think she almost makes you want to protect her? and the steadyness with which she drops her gaze, just daring saif to make her raise it with intrigue or interest, whichever he manages, was not just bold, but the authoritative, 'i-own-this-man' shown through, without much being said was wow! if only some modern day writers had a percentage of Sharatchandra's finess. we'd not be subjected to the

Hahaha..i liked that friend.Afterall,u said it RIGHT :-)
Parineeta tells us the difference between purity and pretenders. When quality work like this one does not come for a long time, we have ordinary films like Veer-Zaara shouting from the roof top claiming themselves as "Sagas", just blowing their own trumpet. Thank god we have people who know what art work is all about. Kudos Sarkar Sir, you have created a gem!
Cant express how good this movie is, Viday Balan - Charismatic, Saif - Intense, Sanju - Rocking, Rekha - Sizzling, Most Importantly Shantanu Moitra Really Rocked the show so are Pradeep Da & Natarajan.
Best Movie So far in 2005, I would dare say it dominated Movie Black in technical departments.
are u a part of of the parineeta 's film distribution team. i mean there isnt one thing you didnt like ? i am scared. is it going to surpass sholay? :-)

Cmon Aman, have some patience... movies are essentially meant for entertainment and that is how they came into existence. It is not about critizing every single movie that seems to be appreciated by many. If you really think of it, would you ever bother critisizing Jodi No.1 and etc. ? why not? why would you only criticize selected movies - because , even though not in entirety, they are good. learn to appreciate what is good and don't generalize on some hard coded opinion you formed about good and bad. And get real dude, its not going to surpass sholay, no movie can even if they are better than Sholay (coz you get too many movies these days and too mcuh competetion) Parineeta is a good movie with some drawbacks which are obvious. But looking at a debutant director producing something of this nature is more than just commendable and the last thing it needs is stupid critisism from people who with their pseudo intellectualism believe that having an opinion different from the crowd is a mark of their smartness and knowledge. Its empty bantering. get real. Its a good movie excpet for the "tod , shekhar tod" silliness. And once again remember : Movies are meant for entertainment
This is a nice review of a nice film, indeed. Thanks Dinesh Raheja. You have imaginative flow in your language which is must while writing on imaginative things like films. So many people write reviews of films but they lack this softly flowing language in which you have described the parineeta. Analysts should always keep in mind that Director, actor producer has put lot of efforts behind a movie and whenever a team produce a nice movie like Parineeta then film analysts should not be niggardly in their praise. Another nice review by Dinesh Raheja. thanks Rediff and Dinesh
