I watched the movie. It is excellent. It is a gem..Saif has matured and Vidya Balan has something in her eyes..after a long time some nice review by Rediff..
The movie is wonderful and really a piece of art. I am sure reviewers can do much better than tell the whole damn story. Let ppl 'feel' the movie before you tell them how to judge it Kudos to everything in the film !
I think this is really a must watch movie for a class. Because the treatment (editing, screenplay, music) only loves by the multiplexes audience.
The First half of the movie is very slow pace but after all that you love the movie because of the wonderful performances by the Vidya Balan, Saif, Sanjay Dutt and Sabyasachi Chakraborty.
Watch this movie, if you prefer different cinema or filmmaking but nothing for hoi-polloi.
parineeta is an outstanding movie.the music rocks, vidya balan is impressive & saif is fatabulous. He has proved to be undoubtedly the strength of the movie.go & watch the movie for saif & vidya.

acting sunju ok, vidya -ok, saif sucks big time(saifs role suitable for salaman khan) salman would have excelled in the role Mr. vodhu vinod pls take note!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Parineeta is a really a master piece, very well crafted and music is nostalgic and a delight for ear.Hat off to debutant director and music director.saif have really come a long way from chocolate face to mature and intense actor in Hum Tum and now in this classic.New cast Vidhya have overshine evry one with her intense acting and innocent smile. Undoubtly the best of 2005 , can not afford to miss.

This movie is certainly a MUST watch. Movies like this are made once in a blue moon. It showcases the very essence of the kolkata of yore. Very well woven and very well adpated movie with all the characteristc places( Moulin Rouge, Flury, Trincas et all intact which make kolkata the Kokata it is.
