Waqt, the new film wth Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar, playing father and son is touching the heart; only for the excellent performances coming from the characters of father and son duo and well supported by Shefali Shah playing the mother and Boman Irani playing the father in law. There is not much scope to Priyanka Chopra, but, even she does well in few emotional scenes. Rajpal Yadav has been asked to underplay his character and he has suited very well into the same. The film delivers a powerful message to those youngsters, who just take life easy on their father's money; without putting in any effort on their own. It is the father in this film who pampers his child but soon realising the same, tries to make him independent and self sufficient.
The task is hard but he does it. The screenplay is weak but the dialogues and the characters come to the rescue to make the film good. At a time , when Bollywood is producing bad films with no business, Waqt comes to the rescue of filmlovers as a better film for the entire family.

As for rediff, you better stop anty AB campaigns. you only praise hopless movies like main hoon na & veer zara/Kisna.Imagine your dear srk after he is 63, then you will understand the true worth of Amitabh.Even Salman is better that shahrookh, for he gives a hit with any director, any production house.He is not dependant on the johars and chopads like your srk. If you people are really serious abt reviews, then pls rope in Mr.Jaiprakash Choukse,who writes in the Daily Dainik Bhasker.I will translate his works in english for free.But pls abstain from such hopless writers...
I dont know why Mr.D'Souza has given such a Bad review of a heart-warming film like Waqt. I agree that it does not even compare to films like Black, but come on, One cant expect every film to be that good. Waqt has a number of positives which have been clearly sidestepped by Mr.D'Souza. It is a simple tale of a Father-Son relationship. Its not rocket science for christ's sake. It is such an emotional picture with outstanding performances by Bachchan and Akshay. the important aspect to notice is that the film touches one's heart. One more thing, Dont forget to take ur hankies with you as it is a tear jerker towards the end. Happy Viewing everybody.
We just saw the movie and it's a very good entertaining movie. What ever conspiracy you do against Big B but he WILL be the winner. Your Review is a complete crap but the movie is marvellous. Big be has done it again. The side castes have also perofrmed it very well. It's yet another HIT after BLACK.
Really pointless movie, I am a big AB and Akki fan but this movie really sucks.The songs throw the movie off pace ( if there is any word like that).THe comedy is slapstick ( sad with such great comedians included in the cast).Only Akki's and AB's acting is any solace .Real waste of everyone's waqt this one.
This D'souza guy seems to have picked up a fight with his wife/girl friend and lost comprehensively before he sat down to pen the criticism. Another plausable explanation for this sort of critique could be the author's inability to realize his responsibilities to his own family (the movie shows how Akshaya Kumar realises his responsibility towards his family). If neither of these explanations hold then I might as well be the Prime Minister of India. Rediff fan
i have seen the movie WAQT it's really one of the amitabh best movie.totally real family story amitab has done great job akshay also good but he cann't never ever reach where amitabh is.movie is tottlypasa vasool.i give 9 point out of 10 for WAQT
