However nobody is going to WB even they offer free land to industry.

Is he chor... I guess you are some politician or having a background of the same. For poor farmers, he had also promised job? What false dream he is showing. And whole WB would have benefited from it. It is not loss of Tata but it is loss of WB and very unfortunate for India when we are talking of globalization.

Promise....
by dharmendra jadoun on Sep 02, 2008 08:12 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Now all industrialist must make a promise to themselves -- DO NOT GO TO WB, whatever lucrative offers state offer to you.

WB is only good to serve kamvalies and labors to other states.

The modern india has to define its economical priorities first. In this case it was the failure of WB govt. First they lured tatas into the state and then they went back on their words. Also we must understand that its important first to have a robust agro economy to feed our billion people rather than pushing Indians towards blind consumerism. india is going through the same stage what US was going thru in late 70's & 80's.
As for Tatas, it would be better for them to re-locate to a state where there is adequate land for developing industrial economy. For WB,it would be better for them to plan and identify the non agricultural zones for future Industrial development.

What next ??
by J W on Sep 02, 2008 08:08 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Now, the next best thing Mr. Ratan Tata should do is: present Ms.Mamta Banerjee, the first NANO that rolls off his relocated plant in India as a gift/complilent for her fight for her native state.

Tata made a mistake
by Sameer Bhagwat on Sep 02, 2008 08:08 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Tata made a mistake of opening a capitalist dream in a commie state. How would have the Nano idea flourished in a state run by the Marxists and Leninists of India!

Thats simply BS.. The losers are always the commone people.. The thousands of young blood, who like the present situation will have to leave their state (and their families, culture, et all) to be in some other states for their livelihood..
