by MANMADA GURU on Sep 02, 2008 09:54 PM  Permalink

This project for sure is going to make roads congested, more polluted and leave no air for breathing. It is a major environmental concern. Good riddens. West Bengal passes the trap to other city in waiting perhaps a Hyderabad or chennai.

That's a great decision by Tata group. I think WB guys deserve it. They have got so many kick in their back, then also they did not realize what can happen to them.

by Anil Kumar on Sep 02, 2008 09:51 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Latest news ....!!

This may be a game plan by TATA & Communists to announce a pull out to put pressure on Mamta...interms of angry bengalis and industrialists ,center govt. etc.

TATA will not that easy 1000 acres of easy land...just like that!!

So the story is not ended!!..just a begning of the GAME played at the cost of 1000s of poor farmers and their 100s of acres of Land.

The Tatas will not play games when the safety of their employees is at stake.

Mr Tata was willing to shut a running Pune plant indefinitely some yrs ago, so whats a half-constructed one?

all we are asking is their 400 acres of land back...they are sleeping on the roads..people have died in police firing while protesting?so TATA don't care for these people?

He only care for his employes because they earn him revenue and profits??what are you talking?

Some unanswered questions...
by SS Kumar on Sep 02, 2008 09:45 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

During the entire stand off between TATAs & Mamta, not one Union Minister nor Prakash Karat felt it fit to visit WB to try & end the impasse. After all, it was a project of global importance and held tremendous employment potential. And who financed Mamta's 10 day standoff esp. when it is being reported that each day, 2 crs was being spent to sustain the striking people. Were the other auto & mobike manufacturers supporting Mamta with cash. Would any one care to answer ?
