Guys, can it be a foul play done by TATA and Government together? Though TATAs took the challenge of building a car at 1 lakh, inflation went high in such a scale that TATA motors will have to sell such a car in loss (or atleast not in profits!).
In order to overcome such a situation can it be just a play to postpone or cancel Nano project?
This is just my view and I welcome healthy arguments. Don't bash against me now guys!

When a company moves out of a state, its image takes a beating. So governments won't do that. And TATA won't make money with 1 lac car which will have very basic things. So they will give upgrades with better features on which they will make profits.
TATAs will find ways to overcome difficulties. They don't play political games.

i think u are right. why anybody is not thinking of the farmers being evicted from thier land. why dont tata pay then the genuine compensation. the land at singur is very fertile and farmers row 3 seasons a year. the land tata got for free from wb govt. they have to pay the price of land in 90 years. but wat the price the land owners are paying. one will understand thier situation only when they are in thier situation. it hardly matters for if nano is 1 lakh or 1.5 laks. if it is good i can pay for it.
Let all political and intellectual class get their act togehter right NOW. We cannot go backwards!! The next generation will NOT forgive us for this BLUNDER,,PLEASE......

You voiced late. Industry is a very different world you either deliver or disappear. Don't u see bajaj always vying for 100 km/lt ... 110 km/lt .... 120km/lt
TATA u r welcome to Tamilnadu to continue your Nano operations. Tamilnadu 'detroit of india' is welcoming you with folded hands. With Ford, Hyundai, Mishibishi comfortably settled in Chennai it will be a heaven for TATA here.

Krishna..i think neighbouring Jharkhand is better place to shift!TATA already have TISCO & Telco there!Mineral rich and well connected place..its a home state for TATA!
The poor have to hand over their land at pittance to the rich urbanites who will enjoy. The newspaper reports say the Mumbai Powai land was confiscated or forced to be sold at the rate of Re.0.25 p per sq.ft (the news paper reports say so) and now it is Rs.10,000/= per sq,ft. inside a flat. Nobody understands who is behind riots, bandhs whenever land is acquired. First it will start as a protest by NGO's and suddenly it becomes too violent to be controlled leading to death and destruction. Next will be nuclear plants. Please wait and see. it will also go out of control with hundreads dying and destruction. It is hightime CBI holds enquiry and keeps a vigil on the people coming by truckloads as protestors. Due to all these problems I feel only fools invest in India and it is better to go out and invest. Tata's have been invited by war ravaged Sri.Lanka and has promised everything to them. Indian businessmen are acquiring and starting business all over the world but are skeptical about investment in India.

Watch out for what Miss Dharna does from tomorrow does she has the guts to face the Nepali Gorkha Morcha in Darjeeling as they are trying to take millions of acres of lands out of Bengal? No no.
This is a very shamefull day for all Indians. what are we upto? Now petty politicians with nothing else to do will hold companies that are doing a whole lot of good than all the politicians combined together could think of.
What is Mamta Banerjee anyway? Good for nothing, irresponsible, publicity at all costs infested politician.

Dont be angry dear! This issue is not that simple!Investment is good..but we must not play around with poors and farming land! You cannot claim that everything was fair in this deal!Politician-industrialist nexus can convert whole agricultral land into industry! First of all..land was sold to TATA at much below cost!Fine..you can argue that state govt wanted investment!Secondly..all compensation taken from TATA was not passed on to farmers!CPI middlemen ate huge chunk of money in between! Please remember they are not democratic! They think corruption is their right! Then they utilized illegal and voilent ways to supress them in Singrur!Nobody boiled then! There were mass murders in which police was invloved in broad daylight!Even court warned state govt and Police to restrain! Do you still think it was bad thing to happen? Congress might claim to have 8 GDP but it rich-poor divide has increased manyfold..do you want few more world class riches in Indian metros or want to grow up like China...as next superpower! Its your choice!

Arey, kyun bula rahein hon? He had already evaluated Savli near Baroda and then got conned in to setting up in Singur. I guess, Tata is loosing his business acumen.
