What is BJP stand.
by ahamed sharif on Sep 02, 2008 10:39 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

BJP speaks of development. Mamata is its NDA partner. What is BJP's stand in the whole episode. Is it enjoying because commies are at the receiving end. Or is nation building is a hallow slogan. Let the BJP leaders give all their sermons on nation building to its partner first.

Are we, the Bengalee, really deserve any development?
by Subhasis Sen on Sep 02, 2008 10:39 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

First it was Lefts, who drove back bengal by 30 years away from Industrialisation by strikes, picketings. And NOW its the trun of Mamata and others. The tested method of reaching the real power is followed every now and then. Are we really deserve any development since we have such rich heritage of the leaders like Budhha Mamata etc etc.??

I am not a follower of Mamata! But do you think WB-communist govt was inviting TATA for benefit of common people? They have ruled the state for last few decades and infact they drove out most of the industries! In present case ..although it was for noble cause..every state must attract investment in industries..but they selected Singroor among all places in WB.Firstly because industrial lands are even and TATA needed no investment to develop property ready for plant!
We can also except one or two exception when Govt coverts farming land for industrial use..but nobody can control it once started doing so!we dont have anything called Govt in India..you can call them bunch of politicians working for self interest!
Further..agreed compensation from TATA was eaten out in middle by state MPs and CPI cadres!
Do you still expect poor farmers to keep silent in nations interest? Can you dare taking one inch of land from big industrial houses or riches? Can you dare taking away lands in metros like Delhi & Mumbai at throwaway prices to build public park etc.During metro rail construction Govt had to compensate 4-5times of black market rate to land owners! That is correct?just because these people can gather in hundreds at state govt's offices and attract media attention?
Nobody's blood boiled when farmers in Singroor were brutally murdered in broad daylight that too by state police!
Communists became capitalists for their own pockets in WB??
At centre you oppose Nuclear deal saying that

DOES WEST BENGAL HAVE A FUTURE?
by MGR Fan on Sep 02, 2008 10:36 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I still believe that West Bengal can have a future...

provided they oust the Communists from their state govt.

Mamata is only paying back the commie animals in their own coin. Fitting punishment for Buddhadeb.

We don't want such politicians
by Vivek Kumar Gupta on Sep 02, 2008 10:36 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

One more Mamta Banerjee & all industries will be gone from India...They will look a place in China.
Here in India, all politician really donno what the politics is. She is just protesting so that she can have people backing her. And poor people who donno know what is good for them, just backing her thinking of that these industries will hurt them.
I am not supporting left for their violence but I appreciate Buddha for his work regarding nano plant.

You are not in touch with gorund realities!Your knowledge is based on one common observation that more the industries better will be the masses!
When public service projects are built in metros..like DMRC in delhi..land owners are paid double or triple of black market rates of their property..and are called as educated people because they are ready to give up their piece of land!
But farmers are uneducated..hence they dont understand..because they are told by Communist govt in WB to accept compensation at 10% level of actual value of their land!
Communist MPs and govt officials made millions of bucks in this deal..they are pro-development!
Later when farmers protested strongly then they used state police to murder them in borad daylight..Even court warned state govt on this!
You only know broad things in mind and start appreciating Budhha!
The same party...when Budhha was also very much there..drove industrialists steadily and slowly out of Bengal.

When will these people realize the importance of such oppertunity in their state? People with lil intellect of West bengal should weed out the politicians like Mamta.

I wonder if any industralist will ever venture to go to Bengal in the future. My fellow west bengalies, keep praying Ganguly and starving without food..

TATAs in Singur
by Geeta Katti on Sep 02, 2008 10:34 PM  Permalink

It was known long back that TATAs have to withdraw from WB. Who can build a giant factory in state where CPM rules and Mamata Deedi opposes. Both are sense less and very short sighted ! They are penny wise and million pounds foolish!
