I like this. This might ultimately do some good
by rakhi george on Sep 03, 2008 02:42 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

This is going to hit West Bengal badly as industrialists will hesitate to make any investements in the state. The people of the state will face fierce unemployment. In our system, unless people are pushed to the limit, status quo will be maintained. General public will not do anything against politicians even if they know that they are being taken for a ride until it starts hurting them badly. I hope more industries pull out of Bengal and create massive unemployment (at least temporarily). I have nothing agains the people of Bengal, but unless some thing really bad happens, people of our country will not awake to the political manipulations.

u know the saddest part? Left front would still not get the message and status quo would be maintained...ultimately, the common man of Bengal would suffer.

My advice remains the same

On May 13, 2007 08:39 PM EST, I made the following post on Rediff (inwww.rediff.com[slash]money[slash]2008[slash]may[slash]13tata1.htm)

[quote]Why did TATA choose WB of all places?

I wonder why TATA choose commie-land for this project. India is a vast country and there are many states that are eager to provide land for these types of projects without affecting fertile land and displacing local population. Even now, if it is not too late, TATA should locate land elsewhere and relocate the project.[/quote]

It is very sad that the state of affairs had to reach this level. Hopefully, TATA will choose their next site after a more thorough vetting process.

Since India is a vast country with many states, thatiswhy TATA chose one of them.
BTW...who are you to sit on ahigh pedestal and pass sermons.
In all likelihood, u r a junior worker in some non-descript Call Center just killing ur idle time, and unable to fathom the gravity of the situation.

Cool it dude. Sermons do not start with "I wonder" and "Hopefully", which are the words I used.

Does my being a junior worker make my word count any less? Where is your dignity of labor?

Even if I did fathom the gravity of the situation, I am just a non-descript call center worker. Unfortunately, the politicians and opposition in WB are also in the same boat.

As for your foul mouth, I advise some Tic-tacs.

Though ur statements started with whatever phrases u mentioned, but it was reeking with anti-WB people bias....and thatiswhy my outburst.
As far as political leaders go in Bengal, do whatever u want to do with them.....who cares!
