TATAs - who were the pioneers to give us (Indians) our first aircraft - Air India, the Taj Group of Hotels, Steel, Telecommunications, Tea, and they are in our everyday life...man they have given India sooooo muchhh one can ever imagine, from the time when we were'nt even born. No matter its there business but we in our lives use so many of their of their products. Its an Indian company and our pride, we should be proud, perhaps we (& Bengal) should have shown some respect and gratitude...their contributions to our nation cannot be ignored !!!
Ideology won't fill stomachs. Look at China and Russia. Alas, Indian's could think! Keep the ideology but let the industry come. The WB govt will get more taxes which can be used in building schools, hospitals, roads, libraries etc. Education helps people to think in a positive way and make better choices in life. India's progress is negligible and can be attributed to the poorly educated leadership. High school pass is not considered as "highly educated"!! It is a vicious cycle. Due to the reputation of politicians no self respecting individual (aka educated) will join politics. That means Indias fate is the same. And the only nation that will be categorized as UNDEVELOPED in the 22nd century will be our INDIA/BHARAT.

U know what the left actually entertains refugees. These refugees then become dadas there. In Nandigram a significant amount of the protestors were refugees.See u reap what u sow.
The economy of WB was extremely good till Dr BC Roy's tenure. Since then, the comies ruled that state and during JB's period, we've seen the rise of militant red trade unions, free entry of migrants from Bangladesh for votes for CPI(M) in lieu of citizenship, a bandh and strike culture, demise of industrial culture etc etc. The economy is virtually collapsed. Biddha tried to rebuild but it seems the way he's doing the efforts are not always suitable, if not incorrect. The point is Tata is one of the richest persons of this planet and he has got an industrial empire courtesy the Congress Government, they protected his business from any foreign competition (refer the case of Orient Hotels, New York). Now if he wants to set up a business in WB or any other state, nothing wrong but he doesn't wanna spend (typical Indian inferior mentality) - he wants free land, free infrastructure like electricity, rising the level of the land etc specially from this poor government? Is Tata a beggar? Is there any free lunch for you and me? He's just a businessman and we must not forget it. See, huge amount of barren land was available at a little distance from Kolkata but he wanted to spoil the good fertile land while the whole world is suffering from food crisis. We simple people also understand this, why can't Tata the opportunist? If Tata leaves WB, it'll be good for WB, it sucks resources of that poor state.

u r missing a point the state government was involved in the entire process if the babus were sleeping it is not tatas fault any business leaves an impact they are rich industrial house they r worried about there workers against such agitations. The impact is no industry whether be any sector will attract no investment in bengal. This was an opportunity missed tata thought that rolling out NANO would have resulted changed perseption in WB leftist think tank and jobs in Bengal
I've seen Bengalis here that they love regression. Its becaus eof pseudo-intellectualism that they have lost their sens eof productivity. They loved the idling and messing arround culture of Cal where any issue cud be made out of anything. The commies even thought of introducing some labour union mechanisms in the IT industry.
The sickle holders are real sick people.
They entertain refugees from bangladesh. Then Talk about population denaity ad chase out industries.

what the lefts did for the others are facing the same problem. It is unfortunate that Tatas may leave west Bengal but it is i feel both The Trunamul Congress and Left are responsible.

I am not shocked by this news that TATA have decided to quit Bengal. We have plenty of negative leaders misleading public. And they are called Great Leaders by their party. First amongst them is Mr Jyoti Basu who ruled the state for 30 long years and did nothing for the poor peoples of that state. He accumulated great wealth at cost of these peoples life. He was to be considered for Bharat Ratna. Thirty years are three decades, a child becomes adult and start doing his work on his on. Yet, the poor peoples of that state still needed govt. help to keep thier body and soul together. It was in 70s when he was home minister and he did nothing to stop then breeding naxals; they played havoc with peace loving peoples. Second in lines are Ms Megha who moves around the country to stop any development work and she also has plenty of money. Be it Narmada or PASCO or Nano. She is there to collect her loot share. Worst case is Datta Samant who made millowners more richer and mill workers to sell their utensils and their wives and daughters. Just go and see how mill land is used today at the cost of these workers. And now Ms Mamta. Her behaviour is no better than a mad person. She gave Mr. Jyoti Basu to win a lost election. She allowed congress to get rrequired support in lok shabha. And she wants that Tata must not open his plant in Bengal because these poor persons will work in this plant and be on their own legs. Who will come to her part rally then. Till these nagative leaders a
