Bengal is second after Kerala in the highest rate of un-employment. The so called Bengali intellectual is one of the main reason for this shit.

u r right that u dont need TATA..We Uttarkhandi need TATA..we welcome TATAs to Uttarakhand..we request TATA to set the project in Uttarakhand..so that our people in uttarakhand would get jobs and the project helps the state in becoming a car manufacturing hub.

Bengalis are the greatest hypocrits. They are not intellectual. They only are projected like that by the media - which unfortunately is dominated by them.

You are a stupid bengali and not an intellectual. You said, "India needs more investments in health, infrastructure, etc rather than making a stupid car." But, do you know where these investments should come from? One of it should be from manufacturing sector. You please get lost from this forum..

pls continue talking like a fool. The world's cheapest car is 'made in india' and that too cud have been made in bengal is indeed an achievement. Now Bengal has made it clear that they r investment hostile.. and that they are not keen to work at all. AND hello..the land was given to TATA by ur govt. pls ask them didnt they know that this was farmland??? true india does need more investment in healthcare and infrastructure, but after this singur fiasco.. why would any company dealing in healthcare or infrastructure think of even investing in bengal??!!
I am so happy the nano project is meeting so many roadblocks. I wish this car does not hit the roads. We already have so many cars on the roads and so much vehicular pollution imagine what will happen if every two wheeler is substituted by a car. Does the government have a policy in place for preventing environmental pollution caused by cars. does it have some kind of forumula that the atmosphere in a particular city can sustain pollution by a certain number of cars and has a policy to restrict plying of more cars than that number on the roads or will it allow environmental degradation to continue unabated. What about our children ? What kind of environment are we making for them? I absolutely wish this car does not hit the roads at least not soon.

i agree with u...You seem to be very environment conscious.. From ur word i infer that u dont contribute to pollution (meaning u dont have car or any other polluting vechile)., right ? if not then u should stop talking like this ..why u people want everything for u only and doent want common people to enjoy these things..
its not what mamta did or the CM commented.. its the future of bengal.. its about providing more jobs to the ever growing population..JUST WONDER - WHAT CONTRIBUTION THIS PLANT COULD HAVE MADE ON THE GDP ??..EMPLOYMENT..?? INFRASTRUCTURE..?? DEVELOPMENT OF THE CITY..??..
It could have been any big project.. but bengal needed one badly..

absolutely TRUE my friend, why cant these guys understand that the commies are blinding their vision.. just coz these commies were not paid bribes they are reacting like this...when will these pple in bengal and kerala understand that the commies have a destructive political agenda. We must revolt against these bloody commies
.. And I mean the Bengal on both sides of the border. Classic case of degeneration and decay of an excellent community. Very similar to Bihar.
They are becoming like Crabs. You put 100 crabs in a basket even after 100 days there will be 100 crabs in the basket. If one crab tries to go up other will pull it down.
By the way from where is that female getting 1 crore per day to organize the protests?. She seeem to be having unlimited supply of Money. Certain leading 2 wheeler manufacturers are behind this as well the Dalal No. 1 of India.
Obviously at 1 lakh car no one will be buying 2 wheelers.
Why dont Bongs see through the game? They are on the path of self destruction even if one vote goes to that female.

good for the youth of pune.. there are plenty of engg colleges there too..
its a issue of shame for whole west bengal. 1) when they throw bottles in semifinal match against sri lanka in world cup. 2) now they hv thrown tata project out of bengal.
poor people cant decide ur future by yourself instead being in hands of kumata (not mamta, she has no mamta for people but votes only).
think yourself and donot play in the hands of these politians.
Why communists feel it unfortunate ? They are obstructionists. They are against developments. They were against industrialisation, IT revolution, they played all games to pull down the Govt. on Nuclear and in the process projected Mayawati as PM (laughs). They are concerned only on cheap political gimmics! Pity on them. Now when their eyes opened on the need of industrialisation, Mamta turned the table on them. Its because Mamta knows the mindset of the people and learned how to play politics ! Shame on the state ! All are equal.
I know almost 99% (except Mamta's Supporters) are in favor of Tata's Factory. But being a sensible citizen i feel there will be nothing to loose for WB. People have to understand that an Auto factory can never revolutionize WB. Let’s give a simple calculation. 1. As per govt's register there ware 16000(not sure actual) farmers got affected due to this land acquisition. Okay, then if i assume 7 people per farmar's family(normally farmar's family is bigger then city family), then 16000 x 7 = One lakh twenty thousand people got directly effected. Now, do anybody know how many people of WB will get directly employed by Tata's factory ?? Any guess ?? I hardly believe at the startiing years they will employ at most 2500 people and gradually if they have profit (??) business then will increase the head count. Assuming those people family members = 2500 x 7(should be far less, because most of these people will come from city) = 17500. Now, tell me how it can be justified to get benefit for 17500 people, you betray one lakh twenty thousand people.??
2. My second reason, the most burning issue of these days is the increasing fuel price. Fuel price is directly proportional to demand. If demand rises then the price will go up. In a country like India, where 90% fuel is got imported from Gulf countries, and our large amount of revenue (Billions of Dollars) spent to purchase that fuel. How can we justify the plan of Tata to create such a low cost car which can double our fuel deman

Ms Jayati Saha,
you term yourself as a sensible citizen??? well I dont think so. Let me put some sense in you.
1)as per your stistics you maybe right, but the matter of a farmer's farm land is all an eyewash. The entire stretch of land or almost is 14 ft under the plain land, which causes a waterlogging effect in it. Thats why it is called a "bheri" in Bengali, which means a pond kind of area where fishes are cultured. Another point is there are instances of farmers who used to get an income of 1000/- per annum only because of this so called "farm land", and after selling of his land to Tata he is getting a monthly 2400/- per month by the instalment amount he is getting from the fixed deposit he has made with the land selling amount. Which means he is almost 100% beneficial.
2) All your stuffs about the demand and supply of fuel price looks good in books but when it comes to actual a small car like Nano would consume the least amount of fuel and would support the emmision norms. At least its far better than the two stroke under maintained autos which ply all over Kolkata and pollutes the city drastically.

As a sensible citizen of India I think there are many things to loose for Bengal and India. I will give also some statistic almost 70 Lakes Educated Unemployed people in Bengal, In manufacturing Bengal contribution was 22% when CPM took over now is merely 4%, in foreign direct investment Bengal rank 12 among other states. Now every body know TATA is socially responsible Enterprise, They can contribute in developing infrastructure, healthcare, education, Can u imagine how many people will benefit because. It will make their future better. I Thing its failure of state government to provide better compensation for farmers or people who indirectly dependent on this land and Mamta is exploiting all.

Your calculations are just in brakcet, what is the calculation of figures out of this brakcet. Now any big industrial project will think 100 times before coming in West Bengal. I think this calculation will surpass your 125000 figure.
